I bet for the 1500 where the second to last 50 was a 35.9, the lap counting stick/numbers hit the touch pad as the counter furiously shook double red and screamed at the swimmer.

Swim rankings: the year is the birth year. Swim stats is cool, you can compare swimmers. It graphs your progress on different swims. Also all the swims are meters in Quebec (Neptune Natation is from Quebec)
my coach on one of my teams was basically known for turning everyone who was good in strokes into freestylers because that's like what a majority of clubs did around here just yardage. We would never swim stroke events and only a few people on the team including myself had stroke times comparable to free times. It's weird because I only noticed this years later
I just finished watching Gilmore Girls on Netflix, and the diner guy who spends 7 seasons having a thing for Lorelai also wears a backwards baseball cap. So … I’d say giving the Texas cowboy hat a go might be something to consider. Roast!!!
For that second roast i am going to guess the weird time split in the 1500 is because she is racing unilateral and switches sides every 50. Just a random guess
@@David_Lee It doesn’t. Since it’s such an odd event, Meet Manager has a glitch that ends up spitting out 62 yard free for the lead-off split. Swimcloud then takes that results file and doesn’t question whether it’s a real distance or not.
@@brad5282I believe it’s a Meet Manager glitch actually. It takes the first split and attaches it to the first swimmer with the distance of the relay divided by the number of swimmers. Swimcloud then takes the MM results file and displays whatever it tells it to.
fun fact, sonny wang gave me his autograph as an apology for accidentally pushing me out of a hammock. context: sonny wang was on the barracudas team, and they do a thing where old high schoolers "mentor" little kids. sonny wang was my mentor (wow might be why i'm so fast now), and we did some activities and he accidentally pushed me out of a hammock. as apology, he offered me his autograph. swell person he is
When my kids were age 5 and 7, they started in the sport via "Summer league swimming." This is a local swim league that consists of teams from neighborhoods or local rec centers who swim a 5 week season in the summer. I love it and it's great for both building safety in the water and getting some of the participants into swimming as their primary sport. BUT, the meets are at various neighborhood pools. Some are 25 yards. One is 25 meters. One is only 3 feet deep so everyone has to start in the water and no flip turns are allowed. And one is about 18 yards per length. Anyway, you get some odd times.
My theory for those 1500 splits is that she would speed up when she was breathing to her coaches side (probably was in lane 1 and coach was in her face) and then stop trying since see cant see the coach and therefore the coach shouldnt be able to see her...hypothetically
The 250 relay is probably a crescendo relay where one swimmer swims a 25, 50, 75, and 100. Meet Manager doesn't know how to do variable distances so it just takes the overall distance and divides by four.
