Let's all agree, we felt the same when Eric ten hag became the Man Utd manager. And in a 1-2yrs we would be here again complaining against Amorim. The real issue lies beyond.
Sometimes, the perfect choice seems so perfect, that our natural response is to doubt, and take the safe route and say "oh... I've seen this before. I'm not kidding myself again.". But sometimes, the thing seems so damn perfect because it's so damn perfect. As a Sporting fan I know how you feel. When we hire him it seems too good, a manager who started is career 10 games ago and win all his games? (And they play against the better teams on those 10 games). Of course it was an illusion, of course it will go bad, as always go bad for us. Guess what... It looked perfect because it was that perfect.

As a Benfica fan, if United board let Amorim do his work and the fans have some patience, he WILL turn your club upside down(in a good way). You didn't hire "just a good coach", his communication style is amazing and he is a true manager and leader, you'll find that soon enough. He doesn't sign players just because, he targets a couple based on performance, potential AND most importantly character and says "either you get those players or I dont want anyone else", that way he knows exactly what he's working with and doesn't waste the clubs money. Gyokeres is the perfect example, Sporting spent 3 months trying to sign him, his price raised from 8M to 23M, Sporting tried to present him different options and ended up believing in his view, look what Gyo is doing now... Amorim saw what nobody else could see and his role in Gyos evolution is absurd. His players follow him blindly and it's easy to understand why

Watching Sporting recently, their players work hard and are brave when they have the ball. Two things the current Utd players don't do. They play for a manager for 18 months or so then throw them under the bus through being complacent and not trying. There is a culture at Utd that one man (the manager) will struggle to change. It's got to be a whole club evolution from the owners right down to the staff and dressing room. Anyone not on board with that needs to move onto a new challenge.
So he was at OT in 2018 as an apprentice under Jose and now 6 years later he's back as a manager. Very impressive by itself. If he really possess great communication skills which was lacking with Ten Hag, then I'm sure he will be successful at OT. Ten Hag couldn't man-manage the egoistic players and sometimes stroke the Press' feathers the wrong way. The key point is if Amorim can get the Press to eat out of his hands, then he'll be on his way to great success.
I'm Sporting CP fan. As long as the management share the same vision as RA. You will have a very strong MU. It all depends on the director board, a good one as he had in Sporting (Hugo Viana, Sporting Director, also went to Man City a month prior as football director from this Sporting Clube de Portugal team).
The change here is that Amorim will be head coach. And the appointment was made by INEOS and not Glazers. This time, the players will be held accountable. No more PR nonsense.
Here’s what’s going to happen. Amorim comes in as new Man United manager. He gets us playing good football. We push for Europe this season but narrowly miss out. People blame Ten Hag’s bad start. Second season and United make some smart signings. However Amorim struggles with key player injuries and we have a disappointing season. The media say he’s not good enough. That he’s only managed in Portugal and that doesn’t count. Third season we get beaten 5-0 by Liverpool. The following week we lose 3-0 to some random team like Bristol City. The fanbase turn against him and he’s out by Christmas. United appoint Johnny Evans as interim manager until a successor can be found.
I think he will probably achieve near to what mourinho did at United but without the toxic aura❤😊but of course with these group of players come short in the premier league, maybe close to winning a europa or winning it like mourinho maybe 1 or 2 fa cups or league cup at best
Amorim had already decided which players would be shown the door and who he would force MU to buy before putting pen on paper . MU must have 200mil ready upon signing ……
Ten Hag was too passive, United need someone with some bite, someone who will give the players a kick up the backside and scare them into performing. Someone with sound tactical knowledge and a clear plan of how he wants the team to play. I wouldn't like to play in an Amorin team because I'm too lazy. Laziness won't be tolerated and this guy will hopefully give the squad a short sharp shock to the system. The patient is on the resus table, it needs to be jolted back into life, and pronto. Cautiously optimistic about this appointment.
That's true. The mentality is gone. Just watch the overlap with Rooney when he says that the kids like Lingard and Pogba made faces when reprimended for dancing on IG or TikTok the day after a bad loss (didn't mention more maybe because they're still in the team). It's not that they are bad players or anything, but the fact that you show you don't care says it all for me
@guingstongg1287 Very true, when a team loses you want the players to be hurt and then show a reaction positively. Perhaps the United squad need to be off social media for the duration of their contracts. When they arrive at Carrington to train they should surrender them.at reception.
"...United need someone with some bite, someone who will give the players a kick up the backside and scare them into performing. Someone with sound tactical knowledge and a clear plan of how he wants the team to play...". Someone like Mourinho? 😄
Its plain to see for every football fan out there, no matter what club you support. Players are over-paid, egos are inflating and managers are the scapegoats. I wish amorim and e rest all e best fr this seas0n.
Why are you showing clips from Sporting Braga games last year to illustrate his years at Sporting? He has absolutely no connection with 23-24 Bragas' games against Real Madrid or Qarabag!!!! You actually show no clips from his time at Sporting, which seems strange
Im a benfica supporter but something you missed out. You cant really blame amorim for the 4th place in that 2022/23 season because sporting sold the 2 best players, palhinha mateus nunes, which were the 2 key elements of sporting midfield, so their game constructors were pretty much gone.
Bro, let's hope for the best . Being a manunited fan , I don't want to judge any manager. Let's see how man united and the whole team will come up through and fans also.
All i can say is he picked up a club that didn't win the league in 19 years. More important than that, Sporting was in complete financial and managment disarray. One of the darkest periods of the club. He took a losing team and made them perform at the top of the players abilities. Made a team of winners from chronic losers and brought players from small clubs that he saw potencial in. Yes, not all seasons were succefful, but it was mostly due to the innability of the club to retain the best players (like Porro, Nuno Mendes and Matheus Nunes to name a few), due to financial constraints. With more stabillity and overall balance on the green, with a few new players Sporting is now a football powerhouse. So i think he will do great. At least much better then ETH.
all this coincides also with bad years for Porto and Benfica, all the way to the club management, changing club presidents in controversial ways. also the excuse to lose, because of losing players doesnt stack that much, when all 3 teams lose players every year
Alex Ferguson Aberdeen last league championship won 1955 25 years apart 1979 AF aged 37/38 took over and won it in 1980 Ruben Amorim Sporting last league championship won 2002 19 years apart 2020 RA aged 34/35 took over and won it in 2021 amazing
football in Portugal is religion, they don't know the pressure that a coach has here there are 5 teams that don't fight to go down, the rest fight to stay and there are 18 in total. Championships are decided on who loses the least points with them. Those outside think that scoring here in Portugal is easy but Europe's top 6 is perhaps, along with Italy, the place where scoring a goal is most difficult. Amorim has already known success and failure but his teams are always a pleasure to watch play of course they don't always win but if you play well 99% of the games you are closer.
Depends on the hierarchy at utd if he succeeds or not. At least the ass...e Glazers are not involved as much any more. Dont know much about RA but if he is as good tactically as we are led to believe, we utd fans are in for a treat.
Need a manager that has a backbone. Alex Ferguson left big shoes to fill. If Amorim can demand things like in the manner of Furgie then I see him starying a long time. I hope he's the one to turn Man U around this slump were in.
if you said nine wins in nine games, you didn't know by that time that Sporting smached City in a 4-1. No, until he goes, were 11 wins in 11 games in the "Primeira Liga" . I don't understand what was the idea to take the guy by now, maybe prepare a team for next season because for sure, in this seasonit's unreasonable to think that United could win something, because if the goal is not that, you will be chewing the guy for regardless discharging and at same time left Sporting orphan. I hope it reach success there.
To this day in this season Sporting CP has 16 wins, 1 draw (champions league) and 0 defeats. Where Sporting CP lost 4-3 is the last game of the previous season, it was Supertaça Candido Oliveira 2023/24 but it happens after the players coming from their holidays. Also no one cares about this trophy, it's like a friendly match between the league winner and the domestic cup winner.
We need 2 left backs, we need a RW, a ST, 2 creative midfielders, a RB, a LW, a DM and a GK and a massive clear out, Lindeloff, Maguire, Shaw, Dalot, Antony, ERiksen, all need to go next summer, and be replaced with who the new coach sees as priority positions, he needs absolute support, none of the nonsense they pulled on Jose him finishing 2nd and not giving him the positions he asked for! He ends the support or we will be back here in 3 years time, talking about process and clear outs.
The are a no. of players which I feel is the reason why the amount of managers that have been sacked after Ferguson is the way it is. Also, there are a no. of players who have played under most of them at United.
A lot of goal scoring chances have been created this season. Finishing has been super poor from Zirkzee, Rashford, and Garnacho. Yes, Ten hag can be questioned on one or two signings but the fact is we need a proven striker. Ronaldo scored almost 30 goals in one season, Lukaku and Ibra too. We need a proven striker who can play for three to four years in top form. Get the right players (Mount injjured, shaw injured, antony crap) or we'll keep sacking managers and never win the league.
If amorim can turn this thus over for united and make it to wven top 4 and deliver us the champions league next season , id say thats success. But i cant speak too aoon abojt whats going to happen after the second season in charge. Cuz we all know what happend to the managera before him 😢
First, the manager gotta be ruthless once the player is not fighting hard enough for the team. It seems like ages since we all know Lindelof is not a good enough centreback but he is still at Man Utd! Same for Maguire, Rashford, Casemiro, Christiansen etc. Get these players out, fast! And then get the remaining players fight!!!
@@JCzzzzz I'm not Man Utd owner nor manager. But I clearly understood how TH was an arrogant 💩 manager. After he was sacked Man Utd won. And players said "we don't need a manager" (to win). You should have read: "We don't need a manager like TH. Without him we can win".
Dutch anything is overrated, the exceptions are few and far apart. Amorim, if given the power he had at Sporting he will turn MU into a much more competitive team.
Clickbait title for a video that brings nothing despite the effort, except a hint of condescension and a conspicuous lack of knowledge regarding that manager. He's nothing like ETH and I hope he will prove you wrong.
I believe he would do very well at Utd but I'm going say sacked before he's done 2yrs. I believe he would do very well but I also know that these Utd players will not change their spots and will throw him under the bus as soon as they start saying the training is too intense or he's working us too hard and leaks start coming out. It's the players that keep getting managers sacked. It's not that we'd hired not very good Managers. We've hired the best, Van Gaal, Jose, Ralf Rannick, and ETH. But the players keep not performing and for some reason not known to anybody. All these Managers keep playing Bruno, Rashford and other players that keep not performing. So I'm afraid I feel the club want their stars playing even though they been rubbish for a Year or 2. That's why I feel he'll fail.
This movie and title is a FRAUD..just to catch people's curiosity. Nothing value in this movie... Good luck Amorim and Congratulations Man United!! I'm a Sporting (Portugal) supporter/fan and I believe he's the man for the JOB. Happy to follow Man United more and more!
Well he's done well at sporting but premier league is no easy feat even guardiola knows it so if he get his tactics and players rolling then he'll do good Gud luck to him though

I think he will probably achieve near to what mourinho did at United but without the toxic aura❤😊but of course with these group of players come short in the premier league, maybe close to winning a europa or winning it like mourinho maybe 1 or 2 fa cups or league cup at best
Gary Neville says Johnny Evans is the right manager because he understands Man United. Roy Keane's pitch gets so high only dogs can hear him.
Amorim had already decided which players would be shown the door and who he would force MU to buy before putting pen on paper . MU must have 200mil ready upon signing ……
Who?
@@ghbombax8788Gyokeres
Fingers crossed he is wat we need hopefully the EPL ain't to much for him
What is Taca da Liga?
In portuguese we use "ç" that makes a "s" sound. Taça da Liga
He will be the man, if they let him be the man. If Amorim doesn't change things, it's because the problem isn't with the coach.
Yes, the "Takka de Liga", one of the great trophies we have in Portugal. I mean, how hard is it to just put this words on the google translator?
The English always were dull of hearing.😂😂😂
What about the "Super Takka Candidu Olivieira"? 🤣
I like this Ruben AmorimE fella seems like a cool guy😂
@@filipe3132 💯. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Até dá nojo ver estes bifes, e depois quando somos nós a pronunciar uma palavra deles mal caiem logo em cima
@@dominicwood3451 It would sadden me to treat them as children but if they behave as such well then...
"...United need someone with some bite, someone who will give the players a kick up the backside and scare them into performing. Someone with sound tactical knowledge and a clear plan of how he wants the team to play...".
Someone like Mourinho? 😄
@@eazypeazy2964 funny accurate 🤣 The thing i suppose that makes the difference here is that Mourinho was getting old and grumpy
Its plain to see for every football fan out there, no matter what club you support. Players are over-paid, egos are inflating and managers are the scapegoats. I wish amorim and e rest all e best fr this seas0n.
Nice vídeo but please, when you see the letter "ç" in portuguese it's always pronounced "s", so if you see "Taça" just say "Tasa" and its perfect
Forgot to tell that I'm from lisbon and a Sporting supporter.
Also, as of today, 35 goals scored 3 conceded, with yesterday's win 5-1. And that's only in the league.
all this coincides also with bad years for Porto and Benfica, all the way to the club management, changing club presidents in controversial ways. also the excuse to lose, because of losing players doesnt stack that much, when all 3 teams lose players every year
I remember a similar video comparing saf & eth.. funny how that unfold 😂
For every new coach of united , I see one such video 😂
Alex Ferguson
Aberdeen
last league championship won 1955
25 years apart
1979 AF aged 37/38 took over and won it in 1980
Ruben Amorim
Sporting
last league championship won 2002
19 years apart
2020 RA aged 34/35 took over and won it in 2021
amazing
AND.. both entered your club in the begginings of November!
first note: it's "Tassa" ("ç" sound is "ss")
Second note: Sporting agreed to pay the buyout clause, but only actually paid it almost a year later
Do you guys remember how Fergie change Aberdeen from an underdog to a powerhouse
8:57 "Taça da Liga" (Ta(SS)a da Liga) = League Cup
9:43 "Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira" (Superta(SS)a) = "Cândido de Oliveira" Supercup
I like TAKKKKA better! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
There was a time I was younger than the oldest players in my fav football team. Now our new head coach will be younger than me
Now you can edit the video and add that sporting beat Man City 4-1 in the Champions League
Lol..this is what you said about Zirkzee and look how that has turned out. Should never hype up anyone until you've seen them game after game.
football in Portugal is religion, they don't know the pressure that a coach has here there are 5 teams that don't fight to go down, the rest fight to stay and there are 18 in total.
If they gave ole more time I’m sure they wouldn’t be where they are just now shame tbh
He beat City with sporting. If united can’t do better, time to accept united has gone
Literaly half of the video is about Ten Hag. FY man.
Need a manager that has a backbone. Alex Ferguson left big shoes to fill. If Amorim can demand things like in the manner of Furgie then I see him starying a long time. I hope he's the one to turn Man U around this slump were in.
Mourinho had a backbone but the club chose Pogba over him.
if you said nine wins in nine games, you didn't know by that time that Sporting smached City in a 4-1.
That really clickbait headline, nothing new, nothing scary, just same crap as everywhere else.
Clear out time, Rashford and Casimero for starters.
13:23 He didn't "visit" Mourinho, he was an intern at United
You all said that about ten Hag
Hyped. He is not playing his first game yet. Still remembered Andre Villas-Boas, CFC fans thought he is the next special one. Where is he now?
Villas-Boas? He´s FC Porto CEO
So... after this 13+ minutes video I'm still trying to understand what's this SACRY TRUTH that no one is noticing....
the scary truth is that he can't pronounce "Taça" and instead says "Taka"
@emanuelfer456 ahahahah
Ruben Amorim stars at 7:23
Amorim will be king in united and they will make a statue of him beside sir ferguson
What was the scary truth? Decent video, but too click-baity for my taste. Hoping for an hot-take, got completely deceived.
ETH unlucky? Napoleon Bonaparte is famous for saying, “I'd rather have lucky generals than good ones”
He will if he gets rid of Rashford and a few others
Yeah but, Trashford needs to go!!
Ruben Amorim have what MU needs...just say to him that we cannot do and you will see!
Only if Rashford and Garnacho listens to the manager .. else Amorim will be gone like ETH..
Thank you for the video! Just a minor correction... TAÇA = CUP. Taça da Liga = League Cup, Taça de Portugal = Portuguese Cup.
its pronounced Tassa not taka
If amorim can turn this thus over for united and make it to wven top 4 and deliver us the champions league next season , id say thats success. But i cant speak too aoon abojt whats going to happen after the second season in charge. Cuz we all know what happend to the managera before him 😢
So... The shocking truth is what? The title for this video is click bait?
Eric Ten Pints couldn't organise a winning formation even when he was sober.
What a waste of time. Clickbait title, same recycled content every other channels are putting out there. What is even your point here?
Same was said about ETH when he was coming in😂😅 wait til January
That team is cursed No manager will save them
One thing not mentioned while Ruben was with Braga e played some matches against Porto and won all games without much effort
Let’s just hope for the best.
A new Mourinho has come to Manage Manchester United waiting to see him
Amorim, played in casa pia fc♥️
My sympathy to Amorim, these Man Utd players will get rid of him after few seasons
Totally agree.....these players will throw him under bus like they have with previous Managers.
jose also had a great record before he join united, i thiink he will find the difficulty in united, i myself support RVN as manager someday
amazing Content ...
I hope he will turn things around and thats if the board and manchester united egoistic players will allow him.
Is way harder to win a primeira liga title with sporting then five or six eredivises with ajax.
It’s done Rubin’s new manager
today is man city vs sportng match , we'll see cuz already man city has been on losing streak of 2
Man u need to sign malen, marcus Edwards and gyokeres
what is scary? and what am I not noticing?
First, the manager gotta be ruthless once the player is not fighting hard enough for the team. It seems like ages since we all know Lindelof is not a good enough centreback but he is still at Man Utd! Same for Maguire, Rashford, Casemiro, Christiansen etc. Get these players out, fast! And then get the remaining players fight!!!
May be TH was a bad manager because he was too arrogant and ruthless. This is the wrong approach for some people like me.
@fidelinomartins1720 Like you? How are you relevant to the Man Utd equation?
@@JCzzzzz I'm not Man Utd owner nor manager. But I clearly understood how TH was an arrogant 💩 manager. After he was sacked Man Utd won. And players said "we don't need a manager" (to win). You should have read: "We don't need a manager like TH. Without him we can win".
@@fidelinomartins1720 I understand your point of view. Only your referencing yourself as part of the equation is funny to me
Stop hyping my club's managers 😭😭😭😭
Best of luck👍👍
Why should we fear him? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Well he's done well at sporting but premier league is no easy feat even guardiola knows it so if he get his tactics and players rolling then he'll do good
Gud luck to him though
Is this a video about Amorim or Eric? wtf
He will succeed because Amorim other name is not Ten Hag
Sorry but with these players I really can't see it @alexmwangi9862.........in 35yrs supporting Utd I hate say it we will only be around top 8 from now on. I'm not a dreamer I'm a realist.......but time will tell I suppose! 🤷♂️
THe first thing he needs to do is to let go of Rashford, Luke Shaw and Malacia. Then move forward.
ManU should sack the Glazers
Not easy to become man utd coach. Welcome to manchester united. Hope he will bring us success.
I just hope he doesn't succumb to the curse and ruin his carreer
