I see most people do the speckling to make stars. I just have never seen stars on the visual area of the moon. I would use the mask to cover the moon when making stars.
Oh, absolutely, if you prefer not to have the speckles over the moon, put the mask back on before speckling. That's the great thing about creating any kind of art, you get to do what pleases you. I love to experiment and do my own thing, that's basically how I've learned everything I know so far, and I love that when I teach classes some of the students do adaptations that are to their taste and the end results are always fabulous.
Hi Debra, my husband 3D printed these ink holders for me, they hold the ink and the lid, so it's easy for me to move between inks without losing the lids somewhere on my desk when I'm doing a lot of inking. I have never seen them in a store though.
