Hello Guys,
In this video, I have shared my experience of visiting the Sangam of Mandakini & Alkhnanda. Rudraprayag is a town and a municipality in Rudraprayag district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. Rudraprayag is one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of Alaknanda River, the point of confluence of rivers Alaknanda and Mandakini. Kedarnath, a Hindu holy town is located 86 km from Rudraprayag. The man-eating Leopard of Rudraprayag hunted and written about by Jim Corbett dwelled here.
Devprayag is a town and a nagar panchayat, near New Tehri city in Tehri Garhwal District in the state of Uttarakhand, India, and is the final one of the Panch Prayag (five confluences) of Alaknanda River where Alaknanda meets the Bhagirathi river and both rivers thereafter flow on as the Ganges river or Ganga.
The Alaknanda rises at the confluence and feet of the Satopanth and Bhagirath Kharak glacier in Uttarakhand near the border with Tibet. The headwaters of the Bhagirathi are formed at Gaumukh, at the foot of the Gangotri glacier and Khatling glaciers in the Garhwal Himalaya. These two sacred rivers join to form the Ganga.

Being an Indian and Uttarakhandi , it give me so much pain to the streets and hills being treated as dumping ground . Even the temples like Badrinath are being mismanaged (compare it with Tirupati) . Corruption , apathy or what else ? Need to ban plastic in hill states completely as it has been done in Nigiris

I'm from Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district. These pine trees look awesome to many people who come to visit here, but they're literally of no use to us. They can't be used to feed animals, nor do they allow any other tree species to grow around them. And they're solely responsible for the majority of wild fires in Uttarakhand. And also completely dry up the ground water.
