Honestly it is sad, but not to the point of dragging up any emotions. We barely knew anything about PE Carole other than the fact that Fu hua was friends with her and is dead, which is the same for 99% of all the people Fuhua knows

Hence why you can get HoV talk to Herrscher of Thunder Mei, when in main story that would not be possible due to the story events giving no room for that conversation to be canon. Dorm dialog does reference main story events though. Quite frequently infact when having two chibi characters talk to each other.
They're actually pretty different. Carole only became a Valkyrie because her mother forced her to. She doesn't like studying and doesn't like training either. She's as normal a girl as can be. Kiana on the other hand, became a Valkyrie on her own accord, and while she never liked studying, she did like training. In fact, most of the times she ditched classes, she did so to go do physical training. Kiana put up a facade of happy energetic girl, but she always knew she wasn't normal.

She just doesn't see the importance of all of this, especially in a time of peace, a time without Honkai. Kiana however, sucked at both at the start. She never had good grades and she wasn't the best fighter either, at least when she enrolled. Man, these two are almost complete opposites yet somehow very similar...

For example, in the manga when Theresa gives Kiana the White Comet battlesuit, she makes Kiana fight a simulation in order to master the suit, and Theresa points out Kiana has immense talent for fighting. Then in game in chapter 4 or 5 (don't remember which one exactly) Rita goes to Saint Freya and sees Kiana fighting and also points out Kiana has massive talent for fighting.

We of course won't get APHO's protag as a playable character outside of APHO because the entire playable cast of this game are female, and he's a guy. So, he's not allowed to be playable outside that mode. It'd be interesting though if we could have Timido playable outside of APHO. I totally can see her being a ice element character due to how she fights in APHO part 2. And since we've seen APHO being referenced in the dream like state characters in main story were put into (Not talking about the Project Stigma arc) that showed a possible future for each character, and I think Timido appeared in one of those dream visions, I feel like someday it'd be fine if Timido actually got her own Battlesuit

She has way more experience like man, shes around 30/40+ Btw, if u dont know what "SP" valks are, so they are out of main story, current universe, or timeline. It was something along the lines of "We decided to also show what will happen in the future after the main story was done so APHO was created to show where we intend to go with our vision in future" at least something along those lines

Basically there are 2 Caroles, one from old civilization where Fu Hua was born (50000+ years ago) and they got to know each other at university if I remember correctly, and became good friends, after that she did not play any other significant role, and this Carole is from APHO(open world if you haven't play for long, same as Sakura Samsara), 10+ years after current events, where they are dealing with new enemies named as sky people.
