I don't know why they didnt introduce this band to an American audience. This album did so well in Canada, I'm sure it would have been a hit in the US had it been released here
I dont want to state the obvious on how much of a bad ass band they are its true they should be right up there with the best of them, i much rather spread the word for the new generation so they can listen to amazing Canadian rock......
I was walk home alone! All this and more All this and more... Guess this is living! Would you come again? Could you come again? You never quite feel right, but i come again Would you come again? Aboslutely amazing! I love Thornley!!!
After Chris Cornell's passing, everyone says "we only have Eddie Vedder left...let that sink in." and I say "What about Ian Thornley?" Probably the greatest vocalist to ever walk this earth.
I bought the CD when it first came out, and every song is awesome. I also saw Ian back in 1997 when he was the front man for Big Wreck, because they were the opening act for Dream Theater on that tour. That was a great show.
@btemplr4 Oh yeah. That's how I discovered him. And they were great live. I've never seen Thornley live in person, but their live shows on TH-cam are good. So underrated.
I was literally at work in Lancaster, NY as I pulled into work today and this song was on 97.7 and this was the first time I have ever heard this song! Small world
I discovered Thornley a while ago. It's funny how he looks and sounds like Chris Cornell, and that's a compliment. I'm really impressed with his songs. Really talented guy
Totally. I saw them live opening for a couple other “popular Canadian bands “ . And 20 years ago! So fortunate to be right up front, my jaw was on the floor. From what I understand Atlantic Records dropped the ball here in a big way. These tracks are still incredible .
Saw them live around this same time when I was a teenager and just watched Ian's band Big Wreck play live on 5/13/22...It was a bit of nostalgia seeing him play live again as a 34 year old adult now...Big Wreck is on tour with Daughtry right now...I'd see them again in a heartbeat.
There is so many underrated bands that lost in time and not enough advertising/marketing pushed. Thornley, Revis, and others are the victims of corporate music industries. While I learned about Incubus and Deftones.. its opens me up to more choice and truth about this hard rock genre.
Ian Thornely has the ability to make me like a genre of music I'd normally pay no attention to. Saw Big Wreck last night and they are still perfect live. 👌 Had to come here for the nostalgia.
Omfg. I used to love this song when i was in like grade 7! I was lying in bed just now and I remember the name of the band and just thought OMFG, and now im hear. Definately an underrated band. :D
One of life's joys is finding new music/artist. Of course I have heard their radio play, but never really clicked to the point of looking into Thornleys complete history and music. Recently I did and quickly ordered all of Big Wreak/THornley music. Wow I absolutely love his music and voice. I received the CD's around Christmas - just when I was about to try out my 1979 Sansui G8000 (a garage sale find, that I got repaired but hadn't tried) and brand new Klipsh speakers. Talk about ear candy.
me too, i wish more jamaican-canadians or african-americans were openminded as listened to more rock. Not knockin' R&B or hip hop, but there's so much good music of all genres.
Wish I would've heard this song over a year ago when the motor in my Blazer blew up. I'll never forget having to walk 10 miles to work and 10 miles back home, I love finding songs that I can personally relate to, and one that sounds awesome to boot!
Canada just keeps pumping out kick ass rock bands! Thornley,Big Wreck,Grady,54-40,Our Lady Peace,The Tea Party,I Mother Earth,Annihilator,Cancer Bats,3 Inches Of Blood,Unleash The Archers,Bison B.C.,Anvil,Razor,Voivod,Sacrifice,Bonded By Blood,Kittie,Big Sugar,Rush etc.
Love this amazing and talented man. Must say that I never liked anything Big Wreck. Except Ladylike that is another great song from this very talented Canadian.
@@jordynog9703 he does have a good older cornell voice, but cornell obviously hit the higher notes, and in his youth, incredibly powerfully. otherwise though, ian thornley is an absolutely amazing performer, i seen big wreck live and the performance was better than the music videos in my opinion
I've seen Soundgarden; I've seen Big Wreck; I saw 'Thornley'. 2/3 times my lungs hurt. And, I don't smoke. This song was part of my audio breathing difficulties ... at the time.
Big Wreck opened for crue a few years back and for a crowd that was primarily there for the main show they had I as well as 80% of the crowd in the palm of their hand.Ian is a class act on stage!
It's criminal this talent went under appreciated...
I am a music teacher and I push every student to this artist. They are so under looked. 2020 still top the charts for me...
Hope you mean big wreck too! That's where most of his best stuff rests :)
Thank you for teaching real music to kids. You're under appreciated, but not by me.
Since you have some knowledge, do you know what instrument they’re using at 0:37? Or what setting on a keyboard, whatever it is?
Hope you taught them about the tragically hip too!
@@CaylexT 12 string guitars ian thornley uses them in almost every song
This song, talent.....disturbingly underappreciated.
Marie Dartt-Bentley Stunningly Correct comment.
Conspiracy underrated
Ian Thornley should be an international star. I don't get it.
Seen him play at sauble beach ont. Was awesome!!
A lot of their music seems to be overlooked. What's not to like, I wonder?
Ghosts is a great album
I don't know why they didnt introduce this band to an American audience. This album did so well in Canada, I'm sure it would have been a hit in the US had it been released here
So Underrated
They did at least where I lived growing up. I bought the album.
Ian's voice is so massive on this track. Unbelievable song, probably the best one he's ever produced
I dont want to state the obvious on how much of a bad ass band they are its true they should be right up there with the best of them, i much rather spread the word for the new generation so they can listen to amazing Canadian rock......
one of the most overlooked and underrated albums of all time. pure genius -
Produced by the biggest douchebag in Canadian music
oh, floppy....
I like the album but I hate the producer himself
Do you even know the producer?
7734yeah I absolutely agree. Fantastic album.
Star studded band. The Canadian Chris Cornell on vocals, and Wayne Brady on drums. Nice!
Mike Crosky Dont forget about Tom Petty on the other guitar and The Incredible Hulk on Bass
Mike Crosky Is this supposed to be some sort of joke?
It's not supposed to be, it is.
Mike Crosky You know what I meant
I think he's asking, what sort of joke is this?
58 years old still get goosebumps every time I listen to this song ✌️
I love you Ian your voice is my addiction ❤❤❤uuu
Me too I'm 57
Insane -- pure intensity ... this riles me into FIGHT MODE ( fighting life's mental battles / challenges) in a good way. Raw emotion .
Awesome song Ian Thornley Rules 🎸🤟
2024 and still a banger 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Saw Ian play in my hometown like 2 months ago. My only regret is I can't relive that night a second time
always thought ian thornley was so underrated! big wreck, thornley all of it, just great music
I just heard this band today and I've got to say they deserve more attention
You need ALL big wreck albums as well as Thornley my friend. Your welcome
I was walk home alone!
All this and more
All this and more...
Guess this is living!
Would you come again?
Could you come again?
You never quite feel right, but i come again
Would you come again?
Aboslutely amazing! I love Thornley!!!

This Band is so criminally underrated.
I bought the CD when it first came out, and every song is awesome. I also saw Ian back in 1997 when he was the front man for Big Wreck, because they were the opening act for Dream Theater on that tour. That was a great show.
He was in Big Wreck? That explains why I thought this was recorded under that name. I seen them open for Mötley Crüe back in 2013
@btemplr4 Oh yeah. That's how I discovered him. And they were great live. I've never seen Thornley live in person, but their live shows on TH-cam are good. So underrated.
feels like only yesterday this song dropped.
Another great band! And I'm so glad I can tune into 97.7 httz FM. Near Buffalo. Thank You Canada!
I was literally at work in Lancaster, NY as I pulled into work today and this song was on 97.7 and this was the first time I have ever heard this song! Small world
97.7 HTZ FM is hands down Ontario's Best Rock station.
PGR 3 great Soundtrack!!!!!
we were meant to live for so much more.

2019 and still coming back to this rock gem.

Dude 2021 and still coming back
Almost 2022 ❤💜💙💚💛💗
2022 - heard this song on the radio, wondered forever who sings it. Pushed the info button and quickly went to add this to my playlist. 😁👍

Ryan I was just going to say that up top. I do the same thing. Fucking awesome song!
Anybody else get goosebumps when they listen to this song? Awesome :)

A beauty of a song! Cool guitar riff, kickass drumming, great bassist stance! A Canadian gem!
Ian Thornley as the new singer in STP Just throwin' it out there......
Good luck with having him sound good on anything that's not core or shangri la dee da
He makes his own music, why would he want to sing some other guys tunes?
lol dude, you"re high. He's one of the strongest vocalists on the planet, not to mention his tune is also perfect.
Ironically enough, Velvet Revolver auditioned him to sing for them but they wanted him to stop playing guitar. He graciously declined.
He actually was asked to sing for velvet revolver and got the gig then declined because they wanted him to only sing

Saw them just last night and they still got it!!
I do not care with whom Ian Thornley plays music...the guy is freaking phenomenal!!!
I Miss Big Wreck. 100% underrated band ever. glad to see Thornley's still going. glad i found this.
Jesus that’s a good song.
Probably Ian's Best song from both bands! its ammmmmmaaaaaaazing!!!
I personally am not into rock music but after listening to this song on the radio I'm becoming a Rock addict 👌🏽👌🏽
I saw these guys in Seattle one time and it was one of my best concert memories.
great Canadian music
Great Canadian Post-grunge Music
My god I nearly forgot about this awesome song! So glad I found it!
The eternal return.
That drummer is freaking awesome
The new Big Wreck album that came out this summer, Ghosts, is THE coolest shit Thornley has done is a while.
GET IT already!
Almost 2022 ❤💜💙💚💛💗
For my next life... please let this music still be there
This song is too good 🤤
Sitting back listening to wallflowers, muse, thornley, and live what a great way to spend New Years
I never tire of this, this one plus blown wide open
really cleans the dust out of the JBL's!
Thornley has a great voice, too bad he's Canadian and never got the recognition he deserves.
definitely underrated guy, so great!

him and todd kerns
@@LF-bm8fe I saw Todd and him on the same bill
This is pretty unique. Not sure I've heard too much like it. Awesome.
Great vocalist. Ians voice is one of a kind

Thank you 97.7 HITS FM
Ian Thornley should never be compared to Chris Cornell .
Thornley, Big Wreck, it doesn't matter, he is simply great.
They NEED to come to Austin, TX!!
I never get tired of this song...wicked tune!
I sold CD"s for them at 8Ball aka Twisters in Chatham, Ontario like right before this hit all the radios. Tony always did have awesome taste in music.
The chorus never gets out in my head 😰
Love the sound of this drum set, so heavy
Thank Sekou for that
snare sounds like a coffee can....
Perfect singer to fill Cornell’s spot
Never. Chris Cornell can't be replaced!!!
@@jordynog9703 and with all due respect same goes for Thornley...both are great artists!
