Speaking as a Welsh woman in my 70s u don’t put nutmeg in them but mixed spice if u prefer and u certainly don’t what looks like fry um in butter 😱 u only need to grease the bake stone . way too much butter 🤦♀️
We love new ideas on recipes! That is what is so fun when cooking, you can always tweak a recipe to your own liking.
You don’t put nutmeg in proper Welsh cakes and you got too much fat in thst pan , u only need to grease the pan u don’t want to fry them , looking at the way fat is bubbling they looked like they are being fried , and they are supposed to be cooked on a bake stone or as you would say a griddles 🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴🏴
