I got a harness from Amazon that worked the very same way as this one. And it was very easy to install. Just run the wires through the same holes as the truck wires and use the grease if you have some. Also make sure you get that ground screw tight. I used a few more zip ties
I bought a Hopsin 4 flat converter kit 48925 I don't know what the difference is but I got a motorcycle hauler that has LED tail lights and it's not working I plugged it up to a Ford truck and it works do I have to have this specific mean 43315 model number
I'm not familiar w/ that kit, but I looked it over briefly- It has the same wire colors going into the convertor as the one I used, so I'm thinking it should work. Perhaps you connected a wire to the wrong Toyota wire? I'd go over the connections again and see. I used the kit that I did because I didn't want to hack into the Toyota wiring- my kit was literally unplug connector, plug in this kit, and reassemble tail lights. Good luck w/ your wiring! Hope it works out.

Yes, a tight ground is vital!
I’m replacing my lenses, so this wasn’t a permanent install, otherwise everything would’ve been tied up and hidden.
How come nobody never uses wire loom?
