- So I (noob) tried Alex the Ramblers HOI4 tutorial and this happened...

if your still dont have the DLC's i would recommend Bittersteels Germany Tutorial he explains what to do if you dont have the dlc's and how to work around the things you dont have. he has 2 of them so choose the newest
Thanks for the recommendation. Yeah I dont have all dlcs (I got like 3) so I will definitely check Bittersteels tutorial out.

I have 1.5k hours in hoi4. I dont understand navy. Im basically no better than a starter. Here is my germany strat:
ARMY:
-9 batallions infantry with support arti (as soon as you can afford it, add 1 Bataillon of arti), dont push with these, they only hold/attack with extreme outnumbering
-medium tanks (should have ≥40 organisation, or else it wont last long in a fight. Hardness (its the yellow, green bar on the left of your division) is important, so you can hold against infantry. I have never looked for meta builds, when building Tanks. I just try to min-max hardattack, softattack and breakthrough. Try to keep reliability up so your tanks dont break every 2 seconds), 30 combat width (check for the stats on the right, i also dont know why it should be 30)
AIR:
-get engine 2, bombs and basic airframe in research
-when designing planes, add as much of those white bombs (youll know when you see them) and a single engine 2, nothing else
Thats CAS. It wins single player. Produce it early and cancel the fighters you are given. They suck and waste military factories.
-in 1938 research heavy MGs+everything above
-add as many heavy MGs to your small airframe
-engine 2 (only 1)
Thats your fighter. It wins the airbattles.
Keep the airframes updated (1936, 1940, 1944). Same for the engines.
NAVY:
-i couldnt tell you. Im about as lost as you
-try to naval invade britain as soon as the war starts, or else they might get their fleet to europe. Once you get there, you win
INDUSTRY:
-Civs until 1938
-Mils until end of the game (unless you have 200+ and need fuel, then get refineries)

When learning just do whatever like. Well its fine to look st turorials and stuff but don't stess with being bad. You will need sometime to get to know all the stuff...Even i don't know how the build the best planes nor navy and im 1k hours in.
Alright thanks. I will of course continue to learn the game even more in the next few days. I feel like everyday that I am playing I learn something. Just a few weeks ago actually I figured out how to naval invade (which for some odd reason I didn't figure out with 300 hours in the game). I will definitely continue uploading HOI4 content and I will give a look on some mods that might be fun for videos.
@@shawnmrv2607 naval invasions took me a while to figure out too idk why😭 oh and mods the most played one is kaisereich or kaiserredux. One is the base "balanced" mod while the other is more wacky (stuff like bringing back truly napoleonic france) or future Joe biden coming to 1936 to conquer the world.
