What a great day that was! Thank you so much for all the kindness with Bill's passing. Blessed with so much talent -yet the most humble man ever. Looking forward to the day we will be together again.
Patty, I worked with Bill at WMAG in High Point and was always humbled by his kindness. I was also working at WNRW-TV45 at the same time and it was when we had the entire WMAG air staff host the Star Trek marathon. I think a friend of mine still has those tapes somewhere along with the blooper tapes. I'll check with him and see if I can coax him into uploading the blooper reel.
I listened to Bill Gable on Big 106 in Orlando, Florida. He hosted an excellent Saturday evening oldies show in the late 1980s. I called in to request songs nearly every Saturday for several years and Bill knew me as a regular caller. He was a real nice man and had an excellent voice for radio.
brother bill gable and all the jocks at the big 8 were the best ever hands down. the only thing that ever got close came later with WOHO radio in thebig city of toledo

Patti, I'm so glad you saw and commented on this video! (from Ray Glasser, very close friend of Art Vuolo!)
