The gearing ratio of Elevate are designed short with comparison to City for better fuel efficiency. They expect you to switch to a higher gear at lower speeds.
1.5 ivtec is enough for enthusiasts❤ Honestly I am not against turbo but when it comes to practicality NAs are known to be more efficient and easy to maintain.
True but turbo engines are more practical while overtaking while vtecs have to be revved hard till 7000 rpm to overtake easily.and out on the highways turbos and nas give roughly the same .

You are right but I have seen more turbo engine breaking down on longer run, specially in hilly areas with traffic jam, I'm not a technician but turbo engines do heat up a lot in such scenario@@arkaprabhamondal4441

MY ELEVATE STORY
Previously owned Hyundai Xcent SXO Diesel and done close to 1lakh kms,
want to upgrade to Compact SUV like Creta or similar and choosed Elevate after test driving all the similar cars like Creta, Seltos, Hydryder, Vitara
Finally Sold Xcent and
Bought Honda Elevate VX MT and almost driven 1500Kms..
Big difference is driving experience is excellent for Honda Cars especially on Highways, no nonsense and no unnecessary features..
Loved Engine, build quality, driver visibility, seating, sunroof, lanewatch camera, digital odometer and other features about Elevate
Except Mileage which is improving very slowly 7-8kmpl during first 500kms and 9-10kmpl during 500-1000 just done with first service 11.5-12 is the avg kmpl now, I was expecting 15kmpl after first service but still lower than excepted mileage.
Dude, the start button on the key is present only for automatic transmission cars. Elevate CVT does have the remote start feature similar to creta

Yesterday i drive elevate , its feels like an heavy suv with low power feels .stable and not bumpy . Effective break Front bonet is easily visible but side fender view jugement is bit harder. Then i drive hyryder . But very noisy special hybird one . Little bumpy on highway and break not that much smooth. Then i drive creta . Easy to drive . Feel light weight . Good grab on highway . Diesel is much fun to drive . I feel rear space is much in creta then other cars . Elevate have comfort and front space . Hyryder dont have rear space and front cabin like cockpit . If i go with resale , millage go with creta diesel . If need safty , havy car . Controlled on road . Buy honda .

@@shreyas176 It's the mileage + suspension setup on Nexon. Three cylinder engines offer better fuel efficiency and Indians don't seem to care about vibrations. After all we are used to riding in auto-rickshaws and shabby looking buses😂

Road noise due to poor cabin insulation is the only deal breaker for me on Elevate. Silent cabin is always a luxury.
Some People want some sound too. Feels that you are driving. But we can always get aftermarket sound proofing

my honda elevate has run for 4300 Kms, I can easily say its the best car in its Petrol NA segment.

Iv tec and id tec don’t have variable camshaft system they are named just for fun selling stuff… gen 1- vtec is the original variable camshafts system.
I too disappointed with wrv diesel means of power and turbo lag and cabin noise levels. But happy with driving visibility, space and mileage.

Engine and cabin noise is more in elevate. No 3rd major adult person can sit on rear seat due to hump in middle. Poor plastic quality of front grill. Poor sound of Horns. One has to press ok button on touch screen every time whenever engine is started. Visibility of touch screen is Poor in sunlight. No option to turn off Adas as per choice for city driving. Poor paint finish inside bonnet. Dealers are arrogant and interested in force selling of insurance at double premium, extended warranty, accessories etc
