    • @EthanPalosh
      @EthanPalosh  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This is senior Lo206. When I raced at HCKC was 360lbs with everything included. I like the compkart because I had parts support there for it, so generally I would recommend getting a chassis that has parts readily available near you!

    I guess the "Game Changer" is still not implemented?
    Nice to see you advancing!

    • @EthanPalosh
      @EthanPalosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not yet!! I barely made it in town for this race and with the new weight install I didn’t have any time :( My carb is set up by Morgan (usually fastest kart on track) at the moment, and I don’t necessarily want to tweak it until I know I have something that works. I’m considering getting a second carb to mess around with and experiment in the future. Unfortunately I won’t be able to make it to any races this fall, but I’ll try to implement it when I get back out there! I appreciate the reminders because I keep forgetting!! :)

    • @nasanction
      @nasanction 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EthanPalosh That's fine, Keep in mind, no two karts are the same. What works for the fastest kart may not do yours any good. Do what works for your kart. ;) Also, lol, I guess it's now called "The Game Changer" Is a different setting from carb to carb. But what I told you is the middle point of finding that sweet spot. There will come a time, when your after that win, You will give it a shot. Using a second carb is a great idea! Even the angle of the carb mount can make the difference, so, write down everything. Take pictures and add notes on your settings and keep a log. When you find the sweet spot you will know it. staying on the rich side of the sweet spot is the cooler running side of the setting, and the lean side is hot running. Keep it cool kid! Have fun, and don't be scared to try new things. Work on one thing at a time, finding that perfect tire pressure, front and rear grip adjustments, kart balancing, on and on...

    Have you had a chance to drive a Tillotson 225RS yet? They seem to be taking over the L0206 class (at least in Europe), as it's a cheaper powerplant with similar longevity and nearly twice the power. Well worth trying if you find one.

    • @EthanPalosh
      @EthanPalosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hey I am 13 and I am trying to get into karting and my parents arent able to pay for a kart but are willing to pay for the acctual season. I was wondering about how much it cost to get the lo2o6 kart with any chassis. Also fuel tires spare parts and other things like that for a season . Thank you love your vids

    • @EthanPalosh
      @EthanPalosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ben! My kart was $3100 used, and it probably cost close to $900 for safety equipment including helmet (don't cheap out on safety!!). Tires are around $200 per set. and spare parts are a few hundred a year (more or less depending on what breaks). Fuel is not expensive at all bc it runs off pump gas. Races are around $60 per round at my track, but that can vary. Hope this helps!! Thanks so much for watching!

    • @benpierce61
      @benpierce61 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the reply also how many sets of tires do you use per season

    • @EthanPalosh
      @EthanPalosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@benpierce61 This one depends on your track. We use a very hard compound on concrete, so only a couple times a year. But other tracks run asphalt which degrades faster and softer tires contribute as well...the best way to find out is to ask around at your local track.

    • @EthanPalosh
      @EthanPalosh  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks so much!! Yes, depending on what class you run, the speed can change around. This class (Lo206) maxes out at around 55-60mph (88.5-96.5 kph) at my track, but gearing it differently for certain tracks in other places can reach up to 70! (112.6kph) Two-strokes are even faster.

    • @EthanPalosh
      @EthanPalosh  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Definitely visit the track on a race day and talk to people!! That's the best way to get info and learn about how it all works.
      Additionally, if you're looking for a kart, usually people will know who is selling their old chassis and point you in the right direction! Good luck!!

    Excellent video, the only way I can think you could improve is to somehow capture the engine noise.

    • @EthanPalosh
      @EthanPalosh  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great idea!!! Right now my camera blocks a lot of the sound out when I'm at speed because of wind noise, but I'll experiment with some ways to get the engine sound in there. Thanks!!
