Yeah, you're right about Erik. His advice to Chris was out of pocket only because he was under the impression that Chris is on the show because he wants his marriage to work with Paige. He had no way of knowing about all of the BS shenanigans that Chris has put Paige through thus far.

Chris is showing big time narcissistic tendencies. They crave attention from everyone and reactions from their chosen supply. In Chris's case, he is taking his supply, Paige, through the cycle of praising and devaluing her. She is a perfect victim because of her codependency. He runs and cries from the group because they were giving Paige more attention than him. Also, he sleeps with her every night to keep her trauma bonded plus, the constant sex clouds her judgement so he can keep putting her through and she continues to tolerate it.

He never addressed her feelings about what he did to her knowing it’s going to be on national television for everyone to see but got upset that she discussed the incident with 3 of his family members. Everything is about his comfortability and no one else’s comfortability matters. And the red flags kept going from there smh definitely narcissistic.

I don't understand why people saying Chris should not have been casted. To the contrary. The show needs a Chris just as much as a chris needs the show and it's platform for their needs.
All successful movies, TV shows and even books have a villain as a prominent character, just as all movies, books and TV shows feature a good character to balance the narrative. Chris, a chris, is necessary for MAFS. MAFS needs Chris, which is why he is on the show. In short, Chris embodies all the worst qualities in all of us, and seems to have no redeeming quality whatsoever.
Paige should not have been included in this show; certainly, she should not have been paired with Chris. Ignoring for a moment the legitimacy of the show, MAFS failed both Chris and Paige. Chris is unknowingly displaying his arrogance, ignorance, shallowness, his intellectual poverty, and lack of common human decency for all to see, while Paige is the immediate victim forced to consume it. The show could have paired Chris with an equally shallow and duplicitous woman, rather than an insecure religious malleable woman that is Paige. Paige will leave this experience forever scarred while Chris will simply shrug this episode of his life by issuing hollow apologies. Chris, by his own admission, left the ministry due to lack of acceptable financial windfall. Money matters to him more than anything else! I don't want to hear Pastor Cal's protestations. Chris is not religious, couldn't care less about Christianity.
I am glad that the unhealthy intersection of religion and real life events are on display. Religion matters, but it is not all one needs to lead a successful life.
In medical terms, six weeks in pregnancy means conception occurred four weeks ago. Chris had sex with this person four weeks ago (counting from the time they taped the show). I'd love to hear psychological interpretation of Paige's thinking process on this issue.
Paige is now in danger of becoming unattractive wife, suite because most men wouldn't want a Paige raising their daughter with low self esteem that she is displayed for all of us to see. I hope she gets real therapy after this sad episode in her life.
One thing I appreciated about Chris'behaviour on this last episode is that he told Paige about the baby in the bathroom, away from the cameras. I am pretty sure she was stunned and in shambles, and production would've loved to capture it on camera. International or not, at least Paige was spared from further embarrassment.

I just get so triggered with Chris bc he reminds me of my ex husband and let me tell you they will have you questioning reality. And if the sex is good it won't be soon. My ex also was purposely trying to get me pregnant quick. But when it came down to it hec barely helped with anything. Biggest mistake of my life. But I just say my daughter is not a mistake.
