  • We Just Bought One Of The Rarest WW2 Tanks In The WORLD!
Hi everyone! We are finally back! Sorry we have been away for the last 5 months but with the state of the world we have been extremely busy. But we are back and have some great new videos on the way.
We have just received our newest vehicle the Sherman Jumbo (1 of only 8 left in the world!) We are really excited to start this project and estimate it will take us about 18 months to complete. We will be releasing videos as we get on with the project so please do subscribe to keep up to date!
Thank you and please check out our website at www.armourgeddon.co.uk

@@kommandantkillcode I believe it did. If I remember correctly, and I could be mistaken, the Easy 8 went from an early model M4A3E8 with the 75mm gun, and standard M4 drive train, to the updated 500hp Ford engine and 76mm gun, while still boasting its concrete armor.

Hi everyone we are finally back! Just a quick note i thought i would mention, but the damage on the Jumbo is range damage not battle damage. Because the damage was made with modern weapons we have decided to fill them in and restore it to its former glory. We feel this will be more true to the vehicles WW2 history. Thank you for understanding.

The only 76 mm JUMBO now lives in Washington DC. Cobra King was concerted to 76mm in 1944/45 and lost in the Hamelton raid on a German POW camp. Cobra King had the gun replaced during a cosmetic restoration prior to being sent Washington DC, to the WW2 museum. They were making it look as it did in 1944 when tanks broke into Bastogne. It had"First in Bastogne" written in chaulk on the side facing the camera.

I wouldnt fix the bullet holes and the battlescar damage on the top part of the tank because you are wiping out its history but repair the damage that is really necessary to get it in running order ,remember there only original once and never take away its history , its always more valuable to keep the battlescars in some places so the tank has a story to tell and that should be respected and shouldnt be erased from its history

Hi it's not battle damage but firing range damage. If it was battle damage we would have left it. We have found some previous repairs in the turret that were obviously done before it went o to the range so we believe these must have been damage inflicted during combat.

Sure spray painted so it doesn't rust, but I think that the holes piercing through the armor is way more visually appealing to the masses then just looking at a pristine uped armored Sherman. The holes are character. I know if I have paid to go through a museum I'd love to see holes in a tank rather than just seeing a brand new sheet of steel painted in there covering up the interesting holes.

Love the jumbo. Biggus thiccus and eating german 88s long and short. Turret has as much as 500mm effective armor at some places, enough to eat a modern 105 apfsds shell.
Hull armor is up to 100mm front with 60mm sides and the turret is 152mm all round. You can barely kill it with bombs. The lower hull is 38.6mm with extra plates 10-20mm thickness.
Tigers dont even like facing these things. Panthers cant do much and you have to be very good or Godly lucky to kill this. The M3 75 cannon and later M1A1 76 are amazing on it. King tigers? Uhhhh. Yeah nobody wants to face those.
And the added benifits of being a sherman means you can put any other turret or gun on the chassiss.

I know this is a rare tank and of course you would like to restore it perfectly, but I think damaged tanks have a charm that's hard to beat.

That orange bogey, did you get that from a logging company in Canada who used a Sherman as a cable puller?
