The spaces in this house are so beautifully curated and with the internal courtyards and green spaces this house could almost fit anywhere! Another great local project! ♥
The Local Project videos are works of art, so beautifully presented and such beautiful homes. They are a feast for the senses. I enjoy them so much and find them very inspiring. Thanks to all who work to put them together!
Impressive! The fact that you are able obtain that level of craftsmanship in a rural area had to one of many challenges you had to overcome. From what I have observed viewing many of your Local Project videos, Architectural excellence is a given. Hats off to the owners for building a house like that in rural (farming community).
When I stumbled on The Local Project and Hunting for George, it was like finding Dwell and Wallpaper magazines for the first time back in 1999!! Absolutely LOVE the production value and the indepth story of the homes and architects/designers and locations every single time!! I may not always like the homes, which is rare, but the effort put into the production shows a real love OF architecture, and that's what matters!! Thank you for bringing that textural feeling of Dwell's magazine covers (those that understand the texture of their magazine covers understand what I mean), to life! It truly drives me to want to continue my career in architecture here in the states daily!!!
I've seen a lot of TLP but this has to be the best edited video on the channel for sure. Super cool effects + transitions, not to mention the great shot choices and overall 'flow' of the video (which I think has been occasionally lacking with other uploads). Incredible job!
I'd love to see the inner garden fully mature, when trees grow up and you have this lush green heart of a bunker-style house. I wonder if the tree tops will be higher than the walls and people from outside would look and wonder what's inside that fortress-like home. It was interesting to learn that the family didn't want to stare at the fields because it's "work".. to me they soil and the green where very beautiful but I get how they didn't want to see it all day long. The architect did a great job adhering to the brief of the client and yet allowing nature in.
yoowwwww the sound selection, the editing, and just over all video quality in every episode is just excellently crafted! especially the music choices! good job to who ever made this video!
Finally a property on this channel that is not a federation cottage with a humongous modern, flat roofed extension stuck on the back filling the garden.
I shit you not... I have been designing a house almost exactly like this for my family. Stabilized Insulated Rammed Earth, tinted grey instead of the typical red that is associated with Rammed Earth. Roman courtyards... I want it on 20-40 acres to start a market farm... literally the whole deal... It's insane. Though I want soapstone countertops not quartz.
This house has fantastic artworks on the walls! Does anyone know the names of the artworks at the following time marks: 1:13, 1:14, 2:56, 3:53, 4:35, 4:48 ? Thanks in advance!
First of all, love the local project. These homes both inspire and depress me because I know I'll never be able to attain them... question though, how much do these houses go for? Is there somewhere online we can read about their sale prices or the cost for construction/renovation? On the off chance I move to Australia haha
Nice interior color scheme. Cool kitchen👍 Also nice colonnade & gardens. But WOW...from the road the exterior looks like an Amazon distribution center😕
The structure looks like a luxury prison to me; so much concrete and steal makes the home appear stiff and drab... but I do like the simple aesthetics of the earthy color palette inside. I would have preferred to soften the structure with more wood and some variance in the exterior angles so that it didn't appear like a cold dark box. Just my two cents.
The clients Anthony & Lisa.......Second generation MARKET GARDENERS!!! 1:10 ??? Seriously! MARKET GARDENERS can now afford to build HUGE MULTI-MILLION DOLLAR houses these days!! OK...........shakes head!!
Not sure what is confusing to you? It’s a combination of rich farming land, hard work and good planning that has been very fruitful for generations. Werribee Sth may not look like Sth Yarra but is as affluent.
@@louiepup1982 Yeah sure.......'Hard Work' thats what it'll be! Or maybe the clue is in the fact that he said they are 'second generation' Market Gardeners! Which implies to me that the 'First Generation' has now passed away....... And the 'Second Generation' is now selling off the farm bit by bit in order to buy themselves nice things!! But yeah, it could also be all of their 'hard work' selling potatoes & cabbages that's paying for their multi-million Dollar house!
Usually I love the editing/pace of your videos but the shot at 0:57 really threw me off. Please be more conscious of things that could be triggering for epileptics.

Give your editor a raise. Whatever they want, just give it to them.
I concur.
I found the music choice super annoying
Amazing work on this video!
I loved the video editing especially the music sync with the video
fr this was gooood
What a beautiful home. Love how it opens out inside out especially in such a rural setting. Hats off to the architect and builder!
We agree!
I love the material colors, everything goes so seamlessly together.

3 Love this channel !
Who knew that a beautiful home like that would be built in the middle of the farm?!? So cool! Thanks Local Project 😎
Watching your videos helps form the best part of my day!
So glad to hear Julie! 🙂
No words. Absolutely stunning.
2:12 - that underwater sharp corner is real killer feature!
Finally a property on this channel that is not a federation cottage with a humongous modern, flat roofed extension stuck on the back filling the garden.
Utterly enjoying The Local Project
😇
The interior design is wonderful!
Stunning house. Love the rammed earth
I'm in love, this is gorgeous and of course the editing was the cherry on top
We're glad to hear it!

Such a unique and amazing home! & the music had me dancing while I was watching!!

Beautifully shot and edited.
beautiful home, stunning farm
😮 speechless…this home is a work of art!
I need to go into market gardening!
Project recommendation: 2 Yarra Grove Hawthorne (VIC)
Yep give ‘‘em a raise ! I’m building my home like this🌲🌿
Dare you to take a drink every time he says beautiful
Love the nuclear bunker vibe
An absolute stunner 🤍
My first thought, looks like a warehouse.

Kindly let us download the video its nice watching them again

that's where the inner courtyard comes in handy.
Really well done!
How much did it cost to build this home? So lovely
Beautiful ❤
Casa de campo me gusta por su discreción exterior y su orden. Su interior reproduce el exterior. Pero es demasiado perfecta y le falta vitalidad.
I love this home❤❤
Zero Imagination - Come On - Art of a Box !
Unique!
Wondering how rammed earth would hold up in an earthquake.
Easy to make greate design in warm climate but try to make same in the cold climate like in Russia or Norway
interesting!
Turns out I wanna be a farmer when I grow up
Another great one! I'd love to get your feedback in one of my videos - Project Kleinburg. Your style is inspiring!
how much?
LOVE IT‼️
It’s a shame they didn’t utilise the local soil for the rammed earth walls. It would have anchored the home to the land. Feels soulless. Still lovely.
This house is as exciting and dynamic as the architect who is narrating this episode 🤦♂️.
😍
At 2:25, I am OBSESSING over this shot! How did you do it?
Where's the Brazilian Portuguese subtitles???
Apparently, farmers aren't poor anymore.

Respond to surrounding landscape? That is the disastrous landscape the desert, sorry about that ,
No me gusta que parezca que está rapeando con la música. Con lo bonita que es la casa, lo estropea esa forma de hablar.
the music really annoying
Looks beautifully built but …. Bland!!
looks like a prison

Aren’t you guys concerned in the environmental impact of these concrete buildings ?
rammed earth is more environmentally friendly than concrete
Music ruins the video.

do they have a client facing rep? ffs
Love it!!!
