Yammy here. The only reason Satan can’t be one turned with only adversity is because they’re just too tanky. You need to stack at least 2 magatsuhi skills in order to mash through his huge hp bar. You can still one turn him but given there aren’t enough starting turns, you need strategize to help you refill the gauge so you can then use adversity and use the rest of your turns for damage.

These are actually not that heavy with rng. The worst odds are 56% against true masakado, and even then it’s a quick reset for a quick one turn kill. It’s 40 seconds compared to several minutes with strategize. As for Satan… yeah idk if it’s happening with only adversity given the working strategy requires both strategize and adversity, but given adversity is the damage boost while strategize is the helpful quality of life ability, theoretically adversity only could work but it would be very rng and might just require you to use Dana’s wisdom instead of strategize.
This is without using any balms etc to boost stats and with unoptimized demons because both of those trivialise every single first turn strat. Anyone can boost to 999 by buying boosters and do FTKs
@@Legendaryyy77 yup. personally i dont like using either cause i want the boss fight to still exist. of course that leads to some things seeming like bullshit like chatoic will which is apparently tied to hp% instead of being random or masakados sending you back to smt1 because someone thought giving him 4x damage was a fair idea
@@Flutterdark_from what I gathered from both my attempts and info online (game8), chaotic will happens at every 1/4th of hp, including the 1/2 if mediarahan doesn't come out. Can't say for sure cuz my winning attempt was also the only one to go after the 50% mediarahan, but at least he always does one a the 75% area
This was pretty much my strat during my first playthrough because I decided to take the Mermaid I fused at level 12 all the way to level 97 to fight True Neutral Lucifer. Of course, I didn't lab it as hard as in this strat, but Pandemonic Feast was still insane.
To be honest, I did find Adversity gimmicky the first time around. Strategize just seems even more so in comparison. Both seem to me "exploits" of sorts (not saying they truly are, or that I begrudge anyone for using either Magatsuhi skill.) I do enjoy Pandemonic Feast, and with Dragon Dance, can be pretty fun. Used it for Normal, Hard Masakado. However, I imagine these Super Bosses' battles are tempting to abuse, so I understand the appeal of a quick burst-through, even though I do not prefer it myself.
Also gogmagog’s innate skill is vengeful might which scales off of the total number of weaknesses in your party. It’s 5% crit damage per weakness and you could theoretically have 24 weaknesses for 120% crit damage bonus, which is theoretically more than masakado can have, but masakado has a more consistent crit rate than gogmagog.

I am on my first playthrough, but don't really understand how ppl are one-shotting Superbosses with adversity? What am I missing??? My stats will be lower than yours, but I've seen a video of a (75) Nahobino doing 20k crits on Shiva with adversity, and I get nowhere near that. Fighting Masakado on Hard, I have a (99) Dagda in my party at 150 strength, fully buffed with Impalers Animus, on 1hp with Adversity activated. Cherub in the party, and Masakado's defence is also debuffed. I am hitting for barely 3k a hit with Nihil Claw, which is decent, but I'd do close to that damage in a turn with Omagataki Critical, plus some healing. Am I doing something wrong?

What was the effect on Orobas? Concentrate? And to make all the Ragnarok hits critical, was it through Bloody/Murderous Glee?

@@VoltitanDevno not rampage, it’d be myriad slashes or nihil claw. Rampage targets random enemies so there’s no guaranteed you attacks hit demi fiend.
