Thank you for this overview of the SXP. 43 days before hurricane Ian I purchased one and loved it. Unfortunately it was flooded and totaled by hurricane Ian. I have an exact twin on order because I loved it so much. I thought I knew everything there was to know about my SXP but you have enlightened me on two diff features. So now when my new one comes in I will be able to use those features correctly. Thank you. Ps. I like the sound of Sport-ahhhge better. ;)

Did you ever get yours? I ordered this same one color and interior. Kept getting delayed. Was supposed to arrive latest end of July. Finally found out a few days ago they had stopped mid production due to running out of supplies for the red interior and had to do black. I guess they stopped or slowed production for the 2023 models to make way for 2024 models. Luckily they just received a black with red interior a few days ago and I am picking that up tomorrow!
I have 7110 miles now on my SX Prestige AWD. I love it!! I have Wolf Gray with black interior. We have not had one single issue with it. The Harmon Kardon is lacking very much in it - all name, not enough bang, the sound is lame. BUT, other than that, I wouldn't change a thing.
Do you know if there is a setting for a digital speedometer read out? I am really liking this SUV trim level. I drive a 2011 Equinox which is starting to have some issues. I only have 85K miles on it, but I think it's time to trade it in. I looked at the 2023 Equinox Premier, but for what you get & the price point, the Sportage is a much better buy with many more features available. Just curious...what color did you buy and do the 19 inch tires give a smooth ride? Thanks.
We're picking up this exact same car tomorrow. We wanted the HEV SX Prestige and were disappointed to find out it doesn't come in wolf gray!! We then considered the sapphire blue with the blue/gray interior. We were then told the HEV SX Prestige doesn't come in this color combination! We would have to step down to the EX trim to get this combination. So, we decided to buy the SX Prestige because we wanted all of the bells and whistles ( know, it's a luxury problem). Could someone please explain to me why KIA doesn't offer all color combinations on all trims?!
I got the same exact color three weeks ago. The only difference is I have the black interior sits, but I love it. There’s never been a day that I haven’t driven it😊. I got some many turn heads while on the road and compliments ❤

Just wondering-- while using Highway Driving Assist/smart cruise-- is there a way to increase the distance when stopping behind a lead car? It seems like when the lead car comes to a complete stop, the sportage stops but a little too close behind the stopped lead car. This is not to be mistaken with 'following distance' while moving--- but when stopping behind the stopped lead car in traffic. Is there a way to increase the distance between the stopped lead car and the sportage? Thanks again and looking forward to your advice!

We absolutely love our Kia we have this model and color so many cool features plus the technology in the cars computer let's us know when it's updating new software WHAT!!! We feel extremely safe in this car also not joking when I say this car turns heads, folks always compliment us saying " That is one nice Ride" 😊

My only major concerns purchasing the Sportage SX PHEV is the 1.6 turbo engine and the long term reliability. I’m stuck between this and a RAV4 Hybrid, do think Kia will be as reliable as Toyota if I keep it long term 10-15 years. Im looking at the KIA Sportage PHEV top model.
great video..well done and explanitory...I want one of these for the wife...the signal light cameras are amazing and should be standard everywhere...not such a fan of the wheels, but maybe next year they'll switch to a 5or6 spoke...hoping this 2.5L engine holds up well, I follow reviews on it to see if there and any problems...cheers
Yeah! They switched over to the smartstream motors now so should be much better for longevity! I appreciate your kind words. Thanks for watching. You can always see if the dealer is willing to put the standard SX wheels on an SXP for you.

I really have my eye on this trim level & need to take a test drive. I drive a 2011 Equinox which has served me well & I have taken excellent care of it & it only has 85K miles on it, but too many issues with carbon build up & such, so time to trade it in. I just had the fuel injectors & valves cleaned. This Sportage is a much better value & much better-looking SUV than the 2023 Equinox. I'm not a fan of the tires though. Are they considered low profile? Thanks again.
The only thing we didn’t like about the SX prestige is the color selection. You can’t get the pearl white/snow color. Only black, blue, red or grey. Strangely you can get a red interior with all of those exterior colors.
The Kia King - Hello! I have the exact same vehicle except with the black interior. I purchased mine on September 12, and I just love it!!! Only have 750 miles on it, so far. I do have an important question that my dealer could not answer at the time of purchase. How do you remove the black lug nut cover. I am guessing there is a tool that goes into the hole, but I never received any tool. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your help, and for the video.
@The Kia King - Look inside your trunk where your spare tire at. There's a tool like a pin to open the black lug nut cover. If it's not in there, then, you have to call the dealership where you bought your car.

I got the 2024 and they are pretty much the same but I was drawn to the wheel design and everything else just fell into place . The only thing that disappointed me was Kia did not put the Turbo on the 2.5 engine but all the technology that Kia put on these kind of faded the Turbo out .
I have a turbo in my Ford pickup and specifically did not want a turbo in this vehicle. More heat, more moving parts and greatly increases your odds of having problems
Everyone buying these Kias above MSRP are crazy... These fools at Kia of Cerritos wanted Telluride money for this... Just go to Hyundai, at least they will do MSRP...

I see people making this comment all over these videos. I have the gas version and honestly never have felt underpowered. I have diriven as fast as 85 MPH. Yeah, if you are the type to race from light to light, then yes, it will feel underpowered. But normal driving it is just fine.
the vehicle drives so nice. Steering feels just tight enough, it tracks perfectly and the driiver assist functions work so well. Also, the suspension feels really good on the road. So, if all you have to complain about is the power, then for me, you are just wasting your time.

We like the wolf grey color but the dealer said it scratches easily and can't be taken in a car wash. Any feedback is appreciated

I just went to Kia university here in Huntsville Al an was told that to the red interior it would be 6mth to a year is that true?

For the US market, it's top trims for the HEV and PHEV models.

the mirrors are heated. They come on with the front or rear defrost (can't remember which)
How do you change the rear whipper?
I think it is explained well inside the User Manual. I just don’t remember exactly how to do it.
