Anakin - maverick mentor has been a card that has impressed me a lot. Being a 6/6 that can draw extra cards has been really good. Its also been really good with ecl and han2
I’ve had the ntatot debate a lot. Fo me it doesn’t pass the mtg “ how many questions” test. Do I have the first unit? Do I have ntaot? Do I have the target unit in hand? Did my opponent remove the first unit? Did my opponent remove the 2nd unit and now I’m down a card? 4-5 questions is generally too many for a competitive card. Compare to triple dark raid which only asks did I built a deck with enough vehicles ? Plus triple dark raid replaces itself if the unit bounces back to hand leaving you card neutral. The card that’s impressed me is ki adi mundi in the heavy unit based blue decks where his coordinate can be turned on. He’s hard to remove, comes down the same time as your Qira’s Krennics, Luke etc and that draw two gets out of control quickly. In villian blue/green he eats the fell the dragon that would have gone to maul or Vader and in blue hero he does the same for Luke. If his ability was only one card I think he wouldn’t be good but 2 cards spirals out of control quickly especially for the type of deck that would play him.
People lost Jango and started playing Jango immediately because it's so good having a b tier leader is easily made up with all the S tier cards in yellow
So far, NTATOT has nothing but disappointed me. Back when it was first spoiled I said it was gonna be just like A New Adventure, i.e. a card that has an extremely high ceiling, but is generally just clunky and underwhelming, and people crucified me for saying that. Well, here we are, and as no surprise to me, it's exactly like that. Sometimes it works, but the overwhelming majority of times you just find yourself with it in your hand and no way to use it, and you just question why the hell you're wasting the slot instead of playing something that maybe doesn't have the same ceiling, but is overall more consistently good.
PS: and yeah, Plo Koon is by far the card that has impressed me the most as well. It basically does what Poe does 90% of the times, which is be a 6/6 ambush, but without the need of ECL (plus it has better traits as well).
Same, you basically need 3 very specific cards in hand turn 1 (turn 1 unit with [aspect], 5 resource unit with [aspect] and NTATOT itself) to be able to plan your match around it. Even in yellow-black, where basically everything is underworld it's soooooooooooooo inconsistent, and for this inconsistent card you have to play 3 of the card itself and even not optimal 5 costs sometimes (like i for the most part don't like zuckus, but i would have to include it, or play ecl to make zuckus more playable). It just limits deckbuilding options so much, and you can maybe pull it off 1 out of 20 matches. Also, the non-vehicle limitation makes the card even worse as your deck will basically be built to ignore space almost completely, which just ruins your matchup against jango red and hero yellow aggro/tempo decks. I kinda flip-flopped between liking and disliking the card, but actually playing it made me just dislike it for the most part, though ofc if you actually pull off a T2 zuckus it feels great (unless opp has waylay lol).
@@mcduckington I think about making the NTATOT work in Han Yellow. Even when it won’t hit because your R2/Liberated Slaves/Falcon got wasted, you can play Plo Koon / Cantina Bouncer / Chewbacca on the 4R turn with han skill resourcing the NTATOT with leader skill. With other leaders your 5R you had for NTATOT is dead for two turns if the gambit did not work out. But you need to have another 3/4R ready to play/smuggle on 3R turn, too, so that’s that. For now I have i as one-of. It could be useful later to go from Chewbacca to Han Unit before your deploy and with Han Leader still leaves you 2R to play Spark/Clear the Field/ANA (that could be great with plo-koon to heal him an ambush again)
Don't forget that something has to be damaged for IG's ability to work. I do think IG is a solid card but Maul feels like he is more predictably good to me.
Great thoughts and insight. 👍🏻
Thanks!
Nice vid. Thanks for the insights
Thank you!

Perilous position is my #1

I’m trying grieves in dooku blue and it feels pretty good especially when expounding it out for 1 cost.
Yeah, that can be quite powerful.
6 of 10 cards are yellow. Huzzah for color balance :D

Good ratings overall , I agree
Heroic/Cunning got a great buff this set. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on Enfys Nest.
I think she’s okay but that slot is crowded. Han is more generically powerful and even Fennec has some play.
Been working on a red krennec and grievous is quite good for it
The p-38 is often the only new card in old decks that still proof to be good.
I clicked so fast
Haha same
no red cards in the top 10

I agree with you. I think theres alot of pros and cons but its not a 100% amazing card its decent yes. But you need to be lucky asf to pull it off
I don't feel playing Maul in my bossk green ECL, IG hit for 6 and can it another thing at the same time. Maul just hitting 5 doesn't seem that great.
Maul is great vs Sabine. You can ambush both her and a undamaged battlefield marine or Fighters for Freedom etc at once and survive it.
@@Revanur1 yeah but except against Sabine, IG seems like a better option
