Having Archery skills is very good to have. My family lives off the Venison i harvest every year with my bow. I took my very first deer at age 12 with a 42 lb Ben Pearson fiberglass Recurve. I was then hooked forever on Archery! Keep up all the good work! Its so refreshing to see a young person living and loving the outdoors. You are fortunate to have a great family to learn from and to share the outdoors with!

Yakisugi is an ingenious 18th-century Japanese wood burning technique that creates an intriguing charred appearance that highlights natural wood veining, creates textural interest, and varies in appearance according to how much fire is applied and which type of wood is used. (Japanese Cypress is considered the gold standard for purists, although other wood types can be used with varying degrees of success.) While it might seem counterintuitive, the act of charring wood doesn’t make it structurally weaker, but magically has the opposite effect. Burning the surface of the wood under controlled conditions fortifies and protects the wood against future damage, making it an excellent preservation technique. The use of Yakisugi in traditional Japanese architecture predates the practice of using chemicals to protect wood Timbers and siding. Achieving Yakisugi involves a process that includes carefully selecting virgin wood that is cut into planks, dried in the sun or open air, burned on the surface to create a thin layer of char, then brushed and sealed with oil. so very cool watching you both, t takes me back to my dad and myself in our many similar moments...loved learning with him so much, very happy and smily always and more than anything else he was very motivating and I always wanted to learn more...he was the military airforce fighter and taught me how to be good shooter, we practiced in the base training area...so cool...missing very much, he passed when I was 14 because of a new pilot making a terrible doing in a final training for a graduation group of 9 young men. The whole airplane broke falling down on fire. A hard moment, plus yes for ever in my hart with feelings and memories as yours with your father. So enjoy it all and learn as well. so very cool watching you both, t takes me back to my dad and myself in our many similar moments...loved learning with him so much, very happy and smily always and more than anything else he was very motivating and I always wanted to learn more...he was the military airforce fighter and taught me how to be good shooter, we practiced in the base training area...so cool...missing very much, he passed when I was 14 because of a new pilot making a terrible doing in a final training for a graduation group of 9 young men. The whole airplane broke falling down on fire. A hard moment, plus yes for ever in my hart with feelings and memories as yours with your father. So enjoy it all and learn as well. No better sample and teacher than a dear father. just adding to my former message,I had missed the end.
I so enjoy seeing you and your Dad working & enjoying life together. I lost my Father, he was only 56 when he passed:(. We were best friends.... That French toast looked so nummy!! :)

I love maple sugar candy. It has been a long time since I have had some, it’s the best.
When we did it making syrup 15 years ago we had a pipeline to a giant holding tank but it's nice to se old ways keep going.
