Our newest waka Te Ao Mārama

Friday 4th Dec 2020 was an exciting day for Whale Watch Kaikōura team. We were able to welcome 84 locals on to our newest waka, Te Ao Mārama for its maiden voyage. Today was an the opportunity to take some Kaikōura folk out for a whale of time while allowing us to test all we have put into place and make sure when this vessel goes live to the public that we have it all going smoothly. We are happy to report that all went to plan 🙂
We saw a sperm whales, dusky dolphins, marine birds, nz fur seals and even a very rare sighitng of lissodelphis (Southern Right Whale Dolphins).
