Ratchet and Clank is one of my favourite PlayStation franchises starring a duo of characters. Let's take a trip through the ears as we rank every platinum trophy in the Ratchet and Clank series from easiest to hardest.

Im so glad you mentioned the twisty mcmarx on vita. Getting the twisty mcmarx trophy on the vita version should've been a platinum trophy itself. Lol
Platinumed every R&C game except All 4 One. All 4 One gameplay couldn't keep me interested.
I don't blame you at all for doing the bolts glitch on R&C1. I platinumed it pretty recently and had done 4 full playthroughs, before realizing i still needed almost 400,000 bolts and would need to do at least 2 more full playthroughs, so I got the last 350,000 or so with the glitch. lol
When the 4 OG games came to PS plus, that’s when I decided to go down memory lane and get the platinums as well. Internet connection made it a bitch to do because it was slightly delayed, internet would drop and sometimes lose connection and crash. But that’s on me. Either way they were pretty simple all things considered, nexus was its own problem, but due to it being so short I had to play the game maybe 4-5 times to fully upgrade each weapon. And to top off the 2016 R&C, the groovitron bomb thingy to get every enemy to dance. I lost count on the play throughs I took, I followed a step by step guide for every enemy and boss. I still never got it to this day…..
Flat out racist that i paid full price for ps plus and the only reason why I can’t play all the ratchet games on ps5 is because im from New Zealand

Man, after seeing the recent Sly Cooper port, I'm hoping for ports of the first four Ratchet and Clank games on PS5 just like Sly. I'd buy them ASAP

Great video! At 6:34, originally insomniac wanted to call ACiT “Clock Blockers” but got told no so A Crack in Time is the closest to an innuendo they could make.
I also think it could’ve been higher since the Blaster Runs Hot 10,000 points trophy took me several tries to complete
Same, I think for me it took me a whole hour to do.
Don’t forget that into the nexus was also supposed to be “into the nether regions”
They really tried their luck with them 2 but was a bit too sus so had to alter them haha

I never played these on PS2 as a kid (I was weirdly dismissive of mascot games back then), so we got All 4 One on PlayStation Plus one month back in like 2013, and I played it with a friend of mine. He said he didn't like it, but I really enjoyed it to the point where I thought I had been missing out on the series. So I ended up buying EVERY game that was available on the PS3 and got the Plats in the entire series. I don't know, All 4 One isn't the best, but I enjoyed it enough to bring me into the franchise.
I'd put the first game as the hardest personally, I'm replaying the Vita version now...and yeah Twisty McMarx is going to raise my blood pressure for sure.
Playing on the Vita i felt going commando was the hardest. Those ports weren't made for that console, And it shows in the races 🥲. Overall amazing experience tho
How do you define a "mascot game"?
@@zebran4 Spyro, R&C, Sly Cooper, Crash Bandicoot, Jak & Daxter, etc. Anything with (seemingly) cutesey anthropomorphized animal characters that looked like they were speficially aimed at children and Sony used them as mascots to market them as such.
The "crack in time" pun is like "a cracking time"
It's crazy that in the lapse of 4 months, now only 2 instead of 4 games won't have platinum.
Size matters now has trophies and it has been leaked that this month's classic is gonna be Secret Agent Clank
The BANE of my existence is the vidcomic speedruns, I am NOT a speedrunner and those Skill Points were torture for me! Also, I would've ranked R&C 1 as super easy, tbh. Surprised it wasn't mentioned sooner.
I actually personally disagree on r&c 1 being super easy as a new time player a struggled during those later planets
Bro these vid comics were terrible. But also the minigame in a crack of time was terrible that I didn’t even get it to this day

This list is nuts to me, but hey, like you said, "opinions".
For me, PS4 and 2002 original were practically free platinums.
3 and Crack in Time were a fun challenge but highly rewarding.
All-4-One is unforgiving and unfortunately has multiple glitched trophies!
But the hardest thing of all that will stop me getting the Locked & Loaded plat is those damn space races!
You claim the hoverbike races are the hardest? Bah! I eat them for breakfast!
Those damned final races through all those tiny rings in every spaceship level are insane!
I never beat any as a kid, and two decades later I still can't do them.
I'll do 100 Skid McWhatever trophies on my PSVita before I even get CLOSE to one of these space races on the Vita. The tiny analog stick's deadzone is just too unruly.
Platinum bolt for spaceship races on going commando vita is difficult because of the joystick
I found Deadlock a fun platinum and pretty much it's an easy one. Only three skill points are needed for the hardest difficulty and that's pretty much a mission on that difficult level some of the missions are pretty easy and with the harbinger can be completed in less than 5 minutes.
Honestly I would put ACiT one place higher just because of the My Blaster Runs Hot trophy, that was an annoying one. Also I agree, back in the day I had lots of fun with FFA, way better than A4O
I actually did buy the RYNO with 1 million bolts the proper way. Took me 5-8 playthroughs. It was a blast. What made this very easy was being a middle schooler and having the time to do anything I wanted. So no you’re not a cheat. It is a unique experience only a child or someone with a lot of time can have.
Crazy that size matters has trophies now, gotta re rank 😤😤 lol

I genuinely lost my mind when I had to do a second challenge mode playthrough for death by disco
But the feeling of the platinum coming up after I sped through the game with cheats is unbeatable😭🙏🏿
The hoverboard racing in rac1 is just really hard to learn but once you figured it out, they are basically free trophies

I’m the weird one who actually enjoys all 4 one, though Ive always played with friends and family which probably makes it way more enjoyable and nostalgic
I have platinumed every single Ratchet and Clank game on PS3 PS4 PS5 and PSVITA took a while but was so worth it just gotta do Size Matters now on PS4 and PS5 😂 im a trophy hunter and there so good anyway replaying some of them is 100% worth it !!
The only ratchet game I’m having trouble getting the platinum for is ratchet 2 on vita. Those damn space ring races ****ing suck.

I remember doing the reboot 100% and the disco ball trophy is the only one I still don't have to this day (forgot to use it on one endgame boss and didn't want to play the game for the third time)
Ratchet 3 was by far the hardest trophy for me as the game literally kept corrupting my saves or glitch out that i dont get trophies for like all the bolts and stuff. i had to idk play 10 times new game to finally get the buggiest trophy in my collection
Size matters's platinum isn't hard but annoying cause you can miss the titanium bolt trophy if you spend any of them

I think the biggest unpopular opinion is I LOVED All 4 one. I can't even say why whether it's just tiny brain go brrr or being able to play as different people. I dunno just never had any issues and genuienly really liked it. If I had the game I'd probably play it again now that I'm a bit older but still. Kudos to anyone getting the Plat for Full Frontal though. RaC pivoting into Tower defence would never be on my bingo card... Least the games are consistent.
the 2016 igame s incredibly easy to platinum. I think your underselling how annoying some of the skill points in other games are and overselling the groovitron trophy. the game is easily beaten in a single sitting and 95% of the enemies can be fought more than once.

man hearing you bash on all 4 one hurt a little because that was one of the last games my dad has played with me in a LONG time. we used to play it all the time on the ps2 but hhe never really played anymore till i found all 4 one at a pawn shop and we played the absolute hell out of it.😓
Excluding vita versions, All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault I have every other platinum. Maybe I’ll try these. Ngl when Size Matters gets tomorrow ps plus premium version it’s gonna be my next plat.

One of the names that was turned down for a crack in time was “clock-blockers” so I like to imagine a crack in time is supposed to be an innuendo
I managed to platinum only 5 games in the franchise (3, Nexus, PS4, RA and SM)
RA is definitely the easiest
I was very close to get platinum on 1 & a crack in time the problem is i really hate the mini games in those games (really hate the hoverboard racing and the swining skill point in 1 and dislike the arcade game in a crack in time).
Didn’t even come close to get platinum in 2 because the space racing mini games sucks. And didn’t planned to get platinum on gladiator.
Didn’t finish all 4 one because RA released few days after i started a playthrough and never played FFA.
Still trying to get the crack in time minigames trophy. Literally only trophy I need before I get the platinum

I actually got burn out from this game. I use to think this is the best game in the franchise but after playing challenge mode and trying to get those trophies my opinion is changed and it’s the most overrated game in the franchise.
@@BensyBens I think u can follow a guide for the clank ones, never took me more than a couple tries to get them right. But the minigames was terrible, and very much unbalanced and luck based which are the worst kind of trophies.

I know a faster way to get the 1 million bolts in RaC 1 and i think im the only one that uses it?
Im Quartu do the Clank minigame, kill all the enemies amd then kill yourself, that way you will respawn in the giant Clank platform to do it again, you can earn 3 thousand bolts each try in challenge mode and each try takes 1 minute aprox.
Its slighly entertaining.
If only you waited 4 months then you could of added size matters.

I've got the platinums for all but All 4 One and Full Frontal Assault, including Vita trophies.

The space ship races in RC2 have me not going for these, lol. Was hard enough for me on ps3.
