Context of Iron Valiance is in the description. This is the story of Ingrained: Ingrained takes place in a timeline of Pokemon Alpha Sapphire in which May failed to stop Team Aqua from flooding the world. As the world was engulfed by the rising oceans, May's entire Pokemon team drowned one by one until she was only left with one: Roselia. Roselia, in a desperate act to rescue her trainer, used the move Ingrain on both of them. The vines dragged them to the bottom of the ocean, seemingly sealing their fates. However, because the move prevents escape and has healing abilities, neither of them was able to truly die, leaving them to suffer together at the bottom of the ocean, waiting for help that will never come. After an undetermined amount of years since the world was flooded, a certain blue-haired kid descends to the depths and discovers somebody who's been restlessly waiting for somebody to find her.
Or rayquaza drowning while asleep at the tower, while groudon gets petrified as soon as team magma gets it into primal form, and acrcues just tells dialga to make a new timeline
For context for the song Ingrained, this is badically the bad timeline in Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, where Archie's ambition bears fruit. The Pokémon world as May know it has flooded, the Primal Kyogre and Archie presumably reigned as rulers, and May wasn't fast enough to save the Hoenn region. All of her Pokémon, save her Roselia, have drowned. May's Roselia only wanted to save its trainer from drowning by using Ingrain on itself and her, but this only makes things worse, as they suffer in the bottom of the sea forever. Mayhaps the Archie from Tean Rainbow Rocket comes from the timeline that Ingrain takes place, but we may never know in Pokémon canon.

@@nerdycookiebunny856 being honest here. Ingrained is not permanent unless you faint the pokemon (Roselia on this topic). So it is possible to "save her" but it's almost impossible since there's not so much pokemon anymore expect water types since almost all of them drowned in the endless rain of kyogre. So the only way is just fainting roselia and boom.. both of them are dead but saved from their misery👍🏻
Honestly stuff like this doesn’t get brought up on the “why pokemon in real life would be bad” discussion. It’s not even just the malicious kind but those who get struck by unfortunate turns of life turning even the kindest of pokemon bitter and endlessly take it out on the trainers unfortunate enough to cross them such as Hypno and in this case Gardevoir
Despite how much I love pokemon, it would NOT work in the real world. If humans and pokemon existed at the same time we would likely never evolve into humans, and there is just too many complications for if we did exist with them. Some of them smart, like really smart! Human smart! And smart is all humans have so we will likely go extinct.
I mean unless you’re a god or a necromancer you can’t save her or the Pokémon both of them NEED to be keep being healed by ingrain their lungs are both filled with water
I think if you could get the area of the ground around them excavated or drilled in just the right way without damaging the ingrained vines and the try to have some machines or something to pull the terrain out of the water, May could be Saved but you’d probably need Subnautica tech to do that.
Fun fact I believe: apart of Ingrained there's another song of the original compositor called "Sea Basin" a frostbite hoenn mix which its not yet in the mod but its currently in TH-cam, there we are in the same timeline but this time playing as May who reached the surface facing Archie and Primal Kyogre with her Roselia
Throwing empty ideas here but. When a wild pokemon escapes, it also counts as a battle ending. So. Maybe BF engaging then leaving. Could've counted for Roselia to stop the ingrain effect?
@@relatablecancer9899that might not be possible, because moves like Ingrain use to dont allow the target to escape easily, just like restriction which instead of let you go continues attacking you every turn until it disappears or the target faints. So then we have May who might be in the same situation but as same as she is drowning Roselia's Ingrain continues healing her, so then if Roselia faints, May could be able to escape or to finally die, but then I dont think a grass type which its also healing can die easily of drowning
You know, i just realized In ingrained, Archie of course succeeded and expanded the sea for water pokemon and such- Wouldn't that mean May isn't truly alone since there's the random water Pokemon in the water? So now I'm imagining Pokemon like Sharpedo taking nibbles on her or her Roselia-
