Once durvasa muni curse to all gods to lose their power. so whenever war place between Gods and Demons always Demons used to win. and gods used to lose their life. so everyone visit to Vishnu and asked how to solve this problem. so Vishnu suggested To churn milk ocean to get Amrita so as Vishnu suggested all devatas bought Mandar Parvat, Vasuki snake, along with the demons they started to churn milk Ocean but at some point of time mandar parvat sunk inside ocean so Lord Vishnu took kurma avatar and carried mandara parvat on his back. at last they received Amrita.
