He's promoting materialism instead of patience and steadfastness. Why can't you encourage your audience to learn from Ameer Mumineen (Ali Ibn Abi Talib) and Syeda Fatima ? You're putting pressure on husbands to support any shopping habit of their spouses so long it conforms with their communities. The Creator didn't make all equal, so one shouldn't despise janitors just because of the class of job they offer to society, we all can't be Neuro surgeons. He sounds more like scholars from the Arabian Gulf states.

Thank you for your message. I think he does not mean to promote shopping etc. He is just saying that the husband should provide what is "normal" in the community. But of course IF he can provide. And second; the wife has a responsibility too. She should know about the financial situation of the family.
