Isn't the elbow supposed to connect to the washer rather than the faucet? Do they make hoses with two elbows?

Elbow to machine. Yes. Straight end to faucet

Why the Teflon on the bib threads?

Thanks for this video. You'd think there'd be more comparisons, but you're it. Thanks again.

FYI: The reason some hoses are called High Efficiency is because they are suppose to offer a higher flow rate of water to the washer that standard washer hoses. Technically a true High Efficiency washing machine hose will have a larger "inside diameter" of 1/2" as opposed to a standard hose that only measures 3/8". Also... what truly makes a High Efficiency hose a top of the line hose is not because its wrapped with stainless steel or because it has heavy hose bib fittings, those things only identify manufacturing quality. You mention the Eastman had a heavy duty 90 degree fitting, that is more substantial that the GE again a quality feature, nothing to do with them being labeled as High Efficiency. For a factual accurate review of these High Efficiency hoses you should have both shown "and measured" the inside diameter of the fittings at the ends of each hose and held them to the camera so we could see the difference from one hose to the next. Why? Because a true High Efficiency hose has much larger openings (holes for water flow) 3/8 to 1/2 "inside" the connectors at the hose ends. A normal standard washer hose has little tiny openings in the hose ends that are only 1/4".

Do you know the size of the washer hose if I need to buy the adapter to connect it to a diverter 3/4????

@@Aesop101 Sorry, not sure I understand your question. If you are looking to install or connect a high efficiency washer hose you just need to make sure the inside diameter "of the hose AND hose connectors" you are considering measures 3/8 to 1/2 inch. FYI: A hose advertised as having 3/4 In FHT x 3/4 In FHT "connections" only identifies the fittings thread size- it DOES NOT identify the internal diameter of the hose or the connectors. Also, hoses advertised as premium or high quality is just marketing hype, and doesn't tell you a thing. That said, hoses like the Fluidmaster 9WM60P2HE or the Fluidmaster 9WM72P2HE are both high efficiency hoses with both the hose and connectors having a 1/2" inside diameter, which allows your washing machine to fill FASTER.

What does Eastman's warranty cover? If a hose bursts within the period, the $40 to replace it is a drop in the bucket compared to wall and floor repair costs.
