Great video. Finally one that showed some of the cabin. I’d be in 7th heaven driving her. She’s a beautiful boat.

I have some friends that own a 46 foot 1963 Chriscraft Constellation. They are a family of 7 that live on this boat. Their boats name is Serafino and they actually have a TH-cam Channel called Serafino et al.
My Grandparent's also owned a Chriscraft boat before I was born. They traded the Chriscraft in for a RV and went all over the country and stuff with it.

I've always liked that model of Chris Craft 👍
I've also seen and been on many on Lake Michigan.
That one is almost Stock 👍

I remember these boats as a very young teenager. When that boat is on the cover of a boating magazine, you know it's a Chris Craft. Today, nobody can name the boat on the cover of any boats. Sure passage makers.

Spent many weekends sleeping over top of the gas tanks on my 1965 Connie. Still here to tell about it!

The bald clipper bow is the most graceful of all.

Those 427's need to be opened up to full throttle occasionally, not full RPM but full throttle to prevent carbon buildup, idle is the enemy not load

You must be a truck guy.
They are more worried about the linkage to the props and overheating due to ineffective/clogged exhaust systems and manifolds.

@@icecoldchilipreppers 🤦🏼‍♂️ he's right it's like that on all motors from 7.4 liters down to 29cc weed whackers. He's talking about an inefficient/clogged exhaust

Every now and again my father would open up our boat to blast out all the build up.

I was in Vo-Tech in the late 70s for auto mechanics, sometimes we'd work on the teachers cars, and one of the best parts was when the teacher would tell a couple of us to take the car we were working on out to the bypass and blow the carbon out of it. We'd stop at the dairy queen on the way back and buy the teacher a coffee.

This makes me miss my 1963 Connie. After my divorce I couldn’t afford to keep it up on one salary so I had to let her go. I wish I could have found a way to keep her because I miss that boat very much.

Those motors are cross bolted main bearings. They are the same engine Shelby used to send the Ferrari’s home spanked. They were de-tuned by Chris Craft by adding cylinder heads from the ford 390’s. They have forged pistons. Barring a riser leak or other ancillary failure, they will go forever. Additionally, they are worth a mint. Very very rare and highly collectible in the ford race car circuits.

Well, the sight lines are sort of important.

This Boat Could Do With an Engine Change to Turbo Diesels.

More efficient yes. But that’s not the point of a vintage boat. Part of a vintage boat is keeping it vintage. Plus a 427 ford is a hell of an engine
