@@richardhassan6307 No they went bankrupt. Their entire business model was selling pharmaceuticals on the surface and bioweapons underneath. When Racoon city went public it caused every investor to drop them and they went bankrupt overnight as the US government shut them down. That doesn't mean certain parts tried to continue. The rail shooter games for the Wii have a segment where Chris/Jill go to Russia to clear out Umbrellas last operational base, said scenario also takes place from Wesker's perspective.
After this years down the line when RE7 came out we find out that part of Umbrella's staff reincorporated as a PMC that everybody hates.
@@thirstyserpent1079 But in RE4/5, they were shown to have invested in selling bioweapons to other nations i.e the submarine base, sold them to the Japanese, the Chinese, The Russians and even the same US govt. If said investment pulled through, then the money they could've profited from it could've been what kept them up and going even after the outbreak.
The resident evils games are one thing. But the secret metal gear solid-like deathmatch in the city between all the organizations is so fucking crazy lmao
The world deserves a free roam Raccoon city that's littered with zombies, Umbrella players and STARS/Spec-ops players with similar game mechanics.
Umbrella players have to track down their targets and destroy evidence. BOWs like Nemesis, X, lickers, and the Hunters can be sprinkled into certain zones. Maybe they guard certain weapons like a rocket launcher pickup.
Like hunt showdown in a way, that be a solid game for sure
Didn't they just try that with linear worlds with Umbrella Corps? By the time I heard about it the game was long dead. But I really don't think Capcom could make a game like that. Just has never been their attempt
Leon, Clare, Jill, and Carlos should be somewhere in the mix too as playable characters. They should be there just surviving and trying to escape. It could be like BRs where the play zone strinks because areas get bombed. But each area could have an extraction zone for the survivor players.
@Mind Yabuiz ... Literally every time STARS and Umbrella interact, it's bloodshed. So, yes, forced PvP. Don't use the Blue Umbrella from Nemesis as an anecdote. Because they've been on sight. Those were mercenary forces not security teams, far as I could ever tell

It was actually a really fun game and a different take on the story we already know I full enjoyed playing both sides of the campaign mind you I preferred the hero side more but have to say you gotta love seeing more hunk
God I would want a remake of this game. Just iron out it’s issues and add some triple AAA graphics you’d have a 10/10 game.

I never understood why everyone hates on this game. I love it. Plus we play someone that isn't Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, Chris/Claire Redfield. And I see this as a 'what if' game. So I don't bitch and complain about how it's "ruining" the Resident Evil canon.
Underrated game.
Finished it multiple times with some friends and we all had a blast with it.

I actually like ORC. I played it a lot when I was a kid and it was a lot of fun. I think I would like a new RE game like that. Just focused on an action story without wanting to be part of the main franchise .

I have friends i met playing this that i still game with. I remember watching the trailers for this game, then actually playing the game and the let down i felt.
This game is actually not that bad if you treated it as a what if scenarios. Man I wish the They used the Nemesis model in this game for the RE3 remake.
I like to think of Operation Raccoon City as the "Ultimate Universe" of Resident Evil, where it has a slightly cartoon-ish vibe compared to the main univerese.

I will never forget the E3 hype for this game,the multiplayer looked absolutely badass…tragically the entire game was flop.

I have to say that operation Racoon City straight up turned Nicolai from a bad guy with some kind of ulterior motive that goes beyond Umbrella to like some kind of impossible esque super villain who is simultaneously able to get around all of Racoon city within minutes without any undead interfering
(until the end of RE3 Nemesis when its possible for the Nemesis mutant to kill him depending on which path you take when entering the dead factory)
while also engaging in what appears to be 25 different plans with 100 different constantly changing objectives ranging from whatever he's doing in RE3 to the stuff you see in RE outbreak when he's trying to capture the tyrant prototypes and gain control a sample of both its blood and the anti virus to what we see in Operation Racoon city where he is simultaneously getting into every major landmark and sabotaging everyone while also arranging big arena death battles and sniping helicopter pilots.
I am so hoping that the leak for the re hank game is a hunk game. He is so awesome and like my fav re character that I want to see more of.
Absolutely loved this game. Bertha was my favorite character.

@@greasemonk4576 if memory serves it was assumed compromised, they didnt know who birkin paid off and who was loyal, so some were doing their job and killed for it by proxy.
Possibly none were compromised as spec ops raid the facility later in the mission so paying off the guard was not needed
The UBCS are the official Umbrella Milicia.
The official talk about them is they are here to help, to save people, in case of breach.
The unofficial thing is they are tests subject to see if the organic weapons are goods or not (like Wesker tried to do with the STARS in the first game).
Hunk is a USS, the undercover and dark Umbrella Unit, who does assassinations, sabotages, "cleanings"......
Contrary to the UBCS, the USS knows what Umbrella do, and are well prepared to fight the zombies and others.
So, for the USS, the UBCS are just some dumb and expandables mercenaries. No problem if they kill some.

Whats funny is this game sold actually well but for some odd reason no sequel of this amazing game. It may of had very bad gameplay such as taking cover but other then that enjoyed this game cause you could get infected which no resident evil game did except for the other game that was exclusive for playstation.

This game would be phenomenal if they remade it today as it intended to be. An open city zombie survival game. An MMO style where you and some friends choose to be either stars or umbrella, navigate raccoon city with objectives to complete fighting off zombies and opposing faction. Pretty much what the division was but resident evil
For a second i thought this borderlands but wow i didn't know a whole different game could have borderlands art style
This reveals why, how Umbrella corporation scrapped project assassins after super soldier project was unstable.
Until this backstory reveals, how battle suit clones was created after Jill Valentine is a first bio creation until the clone was first mystery after number 5 ends.

Why is hunk/uss and the ubcs fighting eachother? Don't they both work for umbrella?
The ubcs is basically expendable grunts to umbrella in basic terms umbrella can just outright kill them they don't care about them they're just mercs in umbrella's eyes expendable ones
Their paid mercs with no actual loyalty to the company. If given the order the other is expendable for the reason that they can be a liability.

@@earnem4175 true but even in the Wikipedia and even hunk at one point explained that these guys are war criminals on death row or hired mercs. Most their loyalty can be bought and that can make them a liability, but a controllable liability. If one goes Rouge like Sergi did they can take them out, or like the security forces at the beginning, they may or may not be witnesses to Dr. Brikins project, brikin could gave paid a few to let him slip by or had the US government pay them to aid in his escape, therefore they are still a potential threat to the company, as they may or may not know about Brikins experiment, because of this it's easier to put a bullet in them then it is to pay them a couple million to shut up.
And besides, it's the bloody Umbrella Corporation, they would totally go that far just to cover their tracks. And besides they are not known for morally safe decisions, if the entire series is proof on that...
Their basically a cheap security cannon fodder and nothing more to the company, as simple to lose as a toe nail clipping in the long run.
To be fair, it's kinda hard to feel anything towards Umbrella employees dying, like they're monsters on the inside as opposed to outside

@@ThisDudeCrisis You can "find" their bodies in the original RE3 in the final areas alongside a bunch of tyrants... they didn't win the fight like they do in this game. Pretty sure wolf pack died when Umbrella was clearing house and dumped 6 tyrants on them if they didn't die in the sewers fighting G-Birkin. It should be noted that Raccoon city is nuked on October 1st and Claire and Leon enter the city on either the 27th or 28th and leave the following morning. RE3 initially takes place BEFORE RE2 but finishes after since Jill is comatose for at least a day or 2 before she's cured and escapes.

it was action pack better idea than COD and Fortnite, you had 2 teams of 4 players in a match filled with zombies, in 2023 I have never seen a game fun as that.
