I seen you and your wife at the bonfire last weekend. Cara's jeep and trailer setup looks awesome but i seen you left before it got to late. keep the videos comin and we will keep watchin.
Ever since I saw the pics of this set up on Facebook last week, I have been eagerly awaiting this video. Amazing set up, i just love it. I have been looking for a Goose Gear alternative, and this hits the nail right on the head. Thanks for sharing Matt and Cara. ~Johnny
I like the seat delete kit. I have the GG and use it a lot. I do like the drawers too. I'm glad someone found a use for the wall space. It's really awkward and ugly once the seats are gone.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures It does, but when I bought it, there was nothing out in the market that I could find, I am not much of a carpenter to make my own. I do like the way yours folds up on the side for extra space.
5:06 You say you would rather have the taller version but at 4:20 that long cover would hit the shelf at the front of the bed and would have to be modified. I like the rear seat deletes with drawers accessible from the rear doors. Because you *know* that you are going to have the top loaded with gear and won't be able to get in from the top in a hurry
I am so glad I got to meet both of you (and Goose too) @ Moore Expo 23 !, .Hug Cara's neck for me, I still owe her one or two more, for helping me in my camping situation. Keep up the great work/fun of your videos! I have been thinking of doing a 60% rear seat delete and moving my ARB fridge/freezer, from the bed of my Gladiator to the inside the cab...I hope to wheel with y'all , in the near future, in the Ozarks (or anywhere not too crazy far away) as it is not all that far from Memphis Tn..... Maybe I could convoy over there with the guys from XplrorUSA in Mississippi next time ya'll get together ? Bonfire run anyone? Keep the shiny-ish side up, and happy technical trails... A.
I've had the Decked System since day one in the bed of my JEEP Gladiator. It's made life so much easier. Are you guys sponsored by SHW Off-road? Super Cool Video as Usual Matt & Cara...
I do not like the idea of having to walk around the truck every time I need something out of the fridge. It's much more efficient for me to have it in the back.
Do you have a link for the storage drawers in your wife's JLU? I have been looking for one that would fill up the back and it looks like hers does exactly what I am looking for.
Cool system, thanks. Are you really going to start traveling with a machine gun ? Are things changing out on the trail that guns are a required kit addition, I hope not.
How about sticker shock, some of these prices coming out for overlanding gear are ridiculous. This is a problem I see coming from the more popular youtubers promoting stuff that is out of touch for alot of people.
Building drawers out of nice ply wood based on 3D scans with CNC machines that you own aren't cheap. This isn't a high volume kind of market. There's always DIY options. These aren't out of touch for many people since their lead times are longer because of demand. Business is good for them.
Wow what a joke. I was intrigued until I checked out the prices of these drawers. People, fusion 360 is free and a 3d scanner isn’t necessary but also very cheap these days. Build your own dam drawer’s. These companies are robbing you blind.
😂😂 if everyone had the skills, equipment, and time to make their own there wouldn’t be a market for them. 🤦🏼♂️ Since you seem to have those 3 things go ahead and start your own business making them and see how much you can sell them for after materials, overhead, labor, insurance, etc are factored in plus making a profit to provide for your family. Good luck.
I know the guys that make these, so know they aren't robbing you blind. This isn't built from a cheap plywood, it's made from an expensive waterproof and light fiberglass composite. It's designed with a 3D scanner (that costs thousands) and Fusion 360 (which isn't free), cut out on their own CNC table (which costs thousands), coated (which costs hundreds), and assembled in house (two employees), then shipped to you (which costs hundreds), all in the cost of purchase. I guarantee you would not be able to sell these for less.
"Great guys doing really cool stuff." That sums up Wes and the gang at SHW. I have the tall deck drawers in my '22 Tundra TRD PRO and love them.
My system is on order ever since I saw Revere Off-road video of SHW and the picture of the drawers in Cara’s Jeep. Nice set up.
Matt n Cara - as always a comprehensive and practical video.

Thank you! Yep! He had to get back home to kiddos! ❤

Nice! I'm looking to really start decking out my JKU.
Definitely going to check out what SHW can do to for my Jeep Commander!!!
We're thinking about drawers for our F150. We'll have to check them out. Thanks for sharing your setup!

Guys,
As usual, great video.
GODSPEED
I see they have them for the Bronco. I'll definitely keep them in mind in the future!
Hi Matt & Cara, very nice storage solutions for your rigs. Thank you for sharing!😊
Thanks Matt some great ideas!!!
Love the rifle cutout
MUST HAVE!!!!
Nuthouse industries makes an enclosed mid height cover for the gladiator and others
Bummer they didn't make that two years ago.
They make awesome stuff! Thanks for sharing!
I put the Decked Drawer System in my Gladiator, I have been using it for about 8 months, not a single issue with it.
The Decked is well made but my issue with it is how much wasted space they have with their design.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures It does, but when I bought it, there was nothing out in the market that I could find, I am not much of a carpenter to make my own. I do like the way yours folds up on the side for extra space.
Dang it! More stuff I need to get to keep up. 🤣

I don't think it would hit my shelf but I haven't measured it.

Thanks! SHW has been very good to us. They are great people!!
It's great storage!!
Your Jeeps looks better with nice storage ^_^
I know you like your fridge in the bed but have you ever thought about having it slide out the passenger rear door? I have mine that way and love it.

Hey Matt, Let me see your drawers!
Can you talk about this system vs goose gear? Seems kind of similar.
Wow, not a bad price either. Price, weight, no wasted space. mannnnnn
Be great if that buIld stuff for the 99/04 jeep grand Cherokee wj .
Cool stuff 👍
Thanks!
How would you compare this to the decked system? build quality looks good but is it worth double the cost of the other options out there?
My biggest issue with the Decked system is how much space it wastes with its design. There is very little wasted space with the SHW drawers.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures That makes sense, the decked did look like a fair amount of space on each side and between the drawers.
Cool system, thanks. Are you really going to start traveling with a machine gun ? Are things changing out on the trail that guns are a required kit addition, I hope not.
Machine guns are illegal. 😂
What kind of fridge slide do you have?
Global Road Outdoors.
Do you know if they still manufacture that slide? I don’t see it on their website.
Have you thought about making your own stuff? I know it is hard to make it happen but would be nice !!!
That is a skill set I do not have. lol.

Agreed. Almost $2k for just a single drawer. I’ve been wanting a drawer just like this but that’s way too much for me to swallow. 😢
Yup out of touch for almost everyone! When a guy can buy a rtt for the cost of a drawer some self ref may be needed lol
