They like each other but are not in love. During D3, Shantanu used to find vrushika very immature, but with time I think his attitude towards her has changed, he adores her more as a person. But distance has separated them now. They have got new friends. This is what I feel
If you'll watch their interviews sometimes u will feel that Shantanu likes vrushyy and sometimes the vice versa. They definitely had a crush on each other at some points maybe at different times but didn't confess. This is what I feel.
