- Hello my beautiful marshies, as we are now in full swing of the summer months, it is a quiet time for orders here at Katnipp, so what better way to spend this time than to have a little makeover and mini organise of the studio featuring some bargain pastel storage basket that I got from the £1 Shop heheh!

If it wasn't a ghosty knocking your mug off, then pottery can spontaneously explode like glass can through thermal change. It's rare but possible. I've made pots that continue to clink for days after they've been glazed. Your washi tapes are adorable!
Interesting, I have never heard of that. Now I will be eyeing my pottery differently hehe
@@wonderwonder30 It usually occurs if there's a fracture in the glaze or clay accompanied by thermal shock, hot to cold/cold to hot temperature changes. It doesn't happen often. Pretty surprising when something suddenly goes pop!
@@KeyushTheStuntDog If that had happened to me I would have, for sure, questioned if my apartment was haunted 😂 But knowing pottery can spontaneously break under extreme circumstances I will look at more from a scientific perspective than paranormal. It’s actually pretty cool.

This is true! I used to work at a paint your own pottery studio and we had to be very careful not to shock the pottery from one tempt to another, because it would crack or shatter!

Don't forget to take some cargo ship footage! One of them may hold your plushies, and it can go in the vid. Love the pound shop, wish we had it here. My favourite washi tape is the bumble restock, followed by the clouds. My best bargain was a leather chesterfield and lounge seat, roughly half the price they were at the time I got them, and most importantly were a brand name of worth over here! Several years ago now, just about time for another bargain of a lifetime ... a half price car would be good...

@@KatnippStudios did you ever mention this. I would be super excited to hear about it as I am just starting out and am so scared that is all I will have. Is just a bunch of stuff that doesn't sell.
My best bargain is my desk, which was 50p from our local refurnish shop, which is basically a second hand warehouse that does free removals of old house stuff and then sells it cheap as chips. If you can look up locally and see if you have one, it's so worth it. The desk is a lovely faux marble IKEA one. Most of our furniture is from there, you just need to be willing to rummage for the good stuff :) xx

Looooove organisation vlogs! I create in my bedroom and the space is very limited so I always get some nice ideas from these videos.

I would have to say the best "bargains" we have managed to find was an antique cast iron bed in someones trash. We sanded the rust off and painted it white and my daughter now uses it in her room. It was also mine as a little girl. The other would be an antique Queen Anne secretary desk also found in the trash. Layers of paint was stripped off and it was refinished.
Oh wow I LOVE THIS I love it when furniture is restored and given a new lease of life! They can last hundreds of years if your careful with them! 😍🌷

My favorite bargain was my sewing machine from Goodwill! (I don’t if it exists in the UK, but it’s a “charity shop”). It was in great condition and was only $24🤩 Also, the stackable bins were such a good idea and they’re super cute

What a great organization video - you are inspiring me to to get going. I love finding containers like that. We have a Japanese “Pound” shop called Diaso, except everything is $1.50 US and comes from Japan. Great storage containers and all sorts of handy items.

Probably my best bargain is a lamp I use every day. Brown metal that I spray painted matt black and a new lamp shade, I found in a charity shop. Love all the bits you have done to the studio!
I absolutely love watching organizing vlogs! I saw those pink trays in my local Tesco and was going to get them for my office, but then I thought they might not go with my decor, seeing as I’m changing my Home to Hogwarts (Have you seen my vlogs on my channel?)
Talking of bargains, those splash-back tiles are flippin’ amazing for a £1! I have just been filming myself putting the exact same tiles (except mine were black) in my kitchen from an online shop and they were £5 each! So I’m totally kicking myself cos I could have gone to the Pound Shop instead 😭😭 Oh well, now I know for the future, thank you for the tip..

Hi Catherine. There is a tool called a cropodile. It will punch holes in different sizes and go through lots of card at once.might save you some time. Vikki
You could save the mug by repairing it with gold. It's a Japanese technique.

The best bargain I got was at an old navy where I got the softest, most comfortable sweatpants for...one Canadian dollar!!! Apparently it was returned and then put on the sale rack, so it got double discounted. Most mileage I've ever gotten out of a dollar in my life I think! Still have and wear'em today.
The best bargain I ever got I am sitting on. Got my little lime green comfy sofa at the thrift store for $46.98!!!! It’s super comfy and has been lovely this past year. Thrift stores are my fav place.

Might I suggest for your future earring backing cards, that you add centered dots into the design so you know where to make the holes. Unless you've done that already, and I can't make them out on my tiny phone screen lol

Here are two of some of my best bargains... I got my first Happy Planner for 36 cents brand new because the store was changing to new stock. I also got a set of Windsor Newton watercolors for $1.71 after a coupon and a gift card that somebody gave me since they were done with it.
I love the cloud washing tape too. Best bargain was an antique desk for 10.00 in thrift store about 10 years ago. Painted it white and put blue glass handles on it. Love it still!
OMG! Assembling the earrings and putting them on the cards…. That would totally be my jam and would come help you if you lived closer! FFUUNN!!!
Best 2 bargins I've had is my daybed, long dresser, and dresser with a bookshelf topper. Bed was 75$ and the other two were think 175$ ? I got them on offerup (Like an individual locals yard sale site) and they were both brand new looking!!

I got a pack of some nice pre-sharpened pencils yesterday for 50 cents which was great cuz earlier I was needing one and couldn't find one. I was like, "I'm an artist, how do I not own a pencil? they disappear faster than socks!"
I'd say my best thrifting bargain was my junior year prom dress. It was one of the mannequin ones, so it had never been worn. Fit me perfectly and it was only $40ish dollars!
That reminds me of my wedding dress 30 years ago. :) I had picked out the one I wanted in the Bride magazine, but I really didn't expect to find it or for it to be a reasonable price, but it was there and on the sale rack for $400! Not as good as $40, but cheap for a wedding dress! I'm probably the only person with the full lace Victorian style gown. Probably why it was on sale. 😂

The tile sticker backsplash looks really good! I'm going to see if I can find something similar at Dollarama because my kitchen lacks a backsplash and I am a very messy cook 😅
My favourite ever bargain was a $4 pair of jeans I found at a Goodwill charity shop in Toronto. Not only were they in great shape, but they fit me like a glove. Apparently there's a man in Toronto with a very shapely behind who wore in those jeans perfectly for me! (To be fair, they were men's jeans but could have been worn by a woman but I like to think there's a dummy thicc and generous boy there donating gently used clothes)

The beat bargain I ever got was a Large Pottery Barn Rug. I always wanted a certain expensive rug $700 and went to a local discount store to get a look alike. I got a look a like rug that was rolled in plastic $125 . So when I got it home, it was a The Pottery Barn Rug I wanted. It had a small defect that wasn’t even noticeable. I was so excited!!!! I didnt even know that our local rug store received anything PotteryBarn. And by the way, I love your kitchen area too! ❤️

I've gotten so many "bargains" in my life so far and they've mostly been trash picked! One mans trash is another ones treasures is no joke. Just recently, my bf and I were driving home from grocery shopping and someone had a 8550 watt generator sitting on the side of the road in their trash pile. We picked it up thinking we could repair it if there was anything wrong with it. Get it home, hook up the gas line (cause it was unhooked) and fill it with gas. Starts right up and everything works just fine! We got a $400+ generator for free just because someone didn't want to deal with it anymore! The perks of living in an area with mostly weekender cottages/property.

In Canada we have the Dollar store and honestly, I love it so much. You can find everything there for 1-2$ and its so handy! Love what you're done with the studio and so excited for the bumblebutt plushie!
I know what I'm gonna buy next! Love the washi tape! I can't decide on a favorite. Are your bumble bee earrings light? I want to get them but my ear lobes so small, so I'm afraid of wearing something too heavy for long. Maybe can make a lighter smaller version that still have a cute dangle? :) I can wear dangle earings as long as they fairly light weight. Would be cute to have stud options too, of all sizes. You could totally have a cute jewelry and hair accessories line. I would wear it!

i wish we had that shop here, I am in Texas, we have a Five Below, they always have really cute decor and stuff, but I wish more of the store was filled with that type
of thing. I feel like the "tech" section is too big. It's all phone cases and tons of different headphones. and the candy section is too big as well. They also sell things over 5 dollars,
which is kind of annoying, they don't really label the sections where things are more expensive. lol.

I would love to see more of what you organize if you feel like recording that for us 😍😍 those stackable shelves really look so good and make the washi look so organized but in a cute pinky aesthetic way, only thing I wish is that you chose to stack all the washi (which is tedious) because it bothers me that not all of them are stacked inside the bins but I’m just a perfectionist don’t mind me lol
