Ji Ruofeng is so nah in this scene. First off, Mr. Li is definitely the strongest. Secondly, Ye Dingzhi was literally taught by “Rain Demon”, how can you say Beili “produced” him? The series literally did not do Nanjue justice, they even lost a city in Blood of Youth (it is kind of their fault to gamble a city in the first place, but still).
That's how chinese story are created. The King can do anything force people into marriage and yet the hero is either being blinded or think it's chivalry to fight the wrong doer and protect him, but they knew the core of the problem was the king and yet risk his life to protect him cause it's chivalry. Anyway it's just a story, but I don't think the hero is right.
