Hi from BC Canada, thank you for sharing your favorite plant picks in your garden. I love ferns too because they seem so magical and whimsical. I'm growing sword ferns, soft shield ferns, and lady ferns. That's where the fairies like to hide.

I’m in Australia, Italian family. I’ve continued my parents tradition in growing our Sicilian Nepeta, we use it for its healing properties. Used for cuts, grazes, mosquito bites, burns etc., we pick the leaves and aggressively squeeze/squash them in our palms and then rub the moist leaves to the needed area (an old Sicilian tradition). I also have 2 other Nepeta varieties in one of my gardens with also many salvia varieties mixed with echinaceas and lavenders. I’ve converted many of my gardens to bee friendly gardens which are constantly buzzing with hundreds of bees. I love your gardens, my goal is to save up for a larger property and have a huge bee friendly garden and many vegetable patches. I’m in the process of making 2 raised self watering gardens with built in worm farms in the centre, crossing my fingers they turn out 🤞🏼

I am in Northern france, we get quite a lot of rain but our summers are still quite hot, my favorite perennials are the Valerian plant, the smell of the flowers (the leaves is loved by cats but not by humans) is like a fresh vanilla and I love it, it has small white flowers similar to a queen anne's lace and you can make teas with the leaves to relax and have a good night sleep ! My other favorite is the chicory flower, it has light blue romantic flowers which open in the morning then close forever in the afternoon and the next day new ones open, it was called the sun fiancée by the ancient greeks ! The leaves are edible and the root is used to make what people in my region used to drink in place of coffee (We actually still drink it, it's called chicorée) and it's also popular in Louisiana at Café du monde

Your videos are the perfect inspiration for me here in New Zealand, as we enter into late winter - getting very eager for all my spring planning and planting! I absolutely adore the autumn joy sedum. I have just the two plants and last summer I counted up to 40 bumblebees on the plants all at once! A real pollinator magnet!

(Eastern Ontario) Autumn Joy Sedum is easy to propagate by stem cuttings, roots easily! Native ferns here are very aggressive, have to knock them back, where not wanted!

Hi Anna! I just love your garden videos! I planted three Japanese painted ferns this year and they are so beautiful- I hope they spread. I also have some Camelot lavender Fox gloves not to far from the ferns. Do you grow your Fox glove from seed or do you just let it self seed?( my first year for Foxgloves). If you grow them from seed, when do you start? I'm in zone 6a. Thank you!

She told me I was out of sync with the world but I just felt hurt and unwilling to change.
She just gave me a teasing, mocking gaze and left.
I was bummed out for the rest of the day.
It's funny how eyes can speak emotion like mouths can speak words.

The Plant Hardiness Zone Map is based on the average annual extreme winter temperature, displayed as 10-degree F zones ranging from zone 1 (coldest) to zone 13 (warmest). Each zone is divided into half zones designated as ‘a’ and ‘b’. For example, 7a and 7b are 5-degree increments representing the colder and warmer halves of zone 7, respectively. It is necessary to do this in USA because the country is so large with multiple climates.
