Love the presentation, you guys always make my day. I too collect too many tractors, maybe it's a good thing I live so far away. I'd be visiting all the time! The AR is simply a standard A, styled. Not often seen, as most preferred the row crop version. More often seen in orchard areas. The R was a separate model line and only as a diesel. Came about as a replacement for the D. Was an answer to the competitions WD-40 diesel.
the John deere D,S had the longest production run was 30 years and U have 2 open the compression relief valves be 4 U start them and close them after the tractor is running 😊😊 OMG 8 28 2O23
I think JD called the standard tread Model A the AR because it's styled like an R diesel. Look at the grill. It doesn't have a center divider like the 50, 60, or 70. The 80 , 720 and 830 also have the same one piece grill, like the R. (That's my story, at least.) 😎
Would love to have that D but I'm all the way in Virginia. If I remember correctly the D had the largest displacement 2 cylinder engine at 502 cubic inches. I'm planning on getting a D for me and my little nephew to tinker with.
This began with with AR, which is basically the standard version of the John Deere A. The company could use many of the same parts for the AR that they used on the A. The R in AR stands for regular.
Aint nothing like 501 cubic inches of D hitting under a load. Closest thing to it is a jd G. Ive got a 1930 1931 on all steel and a 1948 all D's. Id love to have that AR and that D.
If all you are going to do is power wash the inside of the gas tank, you can do that without pullin the hood and gas tank. You do by just putting your power wash nozzel into the tank. Remove the sediment bowl of course.
the gas tank going have 2 be taken off and cleaned W a power washer and keep washing out until U get all of that mess out of the gas tank clean and once U do leave the gas top off and let dry out no water 💦 😊 left 👈 😊 in the gas tank take the gas bowl off under the gas tank clean that as well put a new in line clear fuel filter on when U do the old 1 is ready 4 the trash can 😊😊 OMG 8 28 2O23
Beautiful tractors!!!

Open the petcocks on each cylinder , good gas, full choke, 2 to 3 flywheel pulls, decent tuneup should start
the 39 d was the first styled and 42 was the first year of electric start if im not mistaken. i have a 39 d as well i fixed up years ago
I'm happy ur talking about an old JD
I really like the styled D's the most. AR's,BR's are more interesting than regular A and B models.AL B.

Regular not rice okay that makes sense
@@CrazyDEquipment according to JD
So what does the R on a model R stand for? 😂
I'm a John Deere man , push the chock in!
My late father farmed with an John Deere A, a B, and an H. Savored the two cylinder music everyday.
The AR is basically the mini R

I always add lead into my gas in any of my old tractors because they werent designed to run on lead free gas.
By the looks of that fuel your going to need to go through the carb also. They may be an all fuel but that fuel don't fall into that category...lol
You might as well take the carb on the D apart and clean the bowl out.AL B.

R in AR has nothing to do with Rice.
A handful of sand then power wash with the sand I. The tank
AR, R is for rice
Nope. It's styled like the model R. Both were standard tread tractors with a unique grill.
