Back in the day, I played this game and wasn't able to save because i lacked the memory, so i kept the game on over night for 3 days. As a 9 year old, i grinded through the entire game and defeated mammon without taking any damage. I rolled 100% Earth
I am here two years late, but I always had this hyperspecific wish to see a playthrough of this game without using earth. And here it is, so thank you for making my life that bit more complete!
It's been a while, but I recall a secret room opening in the Monastery after Nepty. Think one of the bookshelves can be pushed and lets you into a room with items. I could also just be losing my mind. A distinct possibility. I'd have to boot up a rom to check, and that's a lot of leg work for a memory refresh.
Now I can't but to imagine Shannon dragging you back to an inn every time you get knocked out & that's the real reason she follows you everywhere. "Stupid kid can't even get through the forest without getting knocked out 10 times how's he supposed to get the elemental jades & unleash my master?"
Unironically one of my favorite retro games. Still give it a run at least once a year. Seeing this stream though, I may have to start another one early.
People shit on this game so mch but for the time it was so cool...the animations, spells and anime bosses more than compensated for the hollow world and almost nonexisting story
Idk how old this video is, but have you tried Hard Mode for this? . . . speaking of running faster. Also, it strives to balance the elements by adding new spells, deleting some spells, and reworking old ones.
seriously dude good job i hate fucking people who use only earth element and water for the shield to never take any domage or anything u deserve credit and yeah virgo have 1500 hp so much
I have been ranting to my husband (who has never played Quest) about what an absolute madman you are for doing anything but 'earth and water to get healing, then just smack everything with your walking stick for damage'. He is tolerating me with much amusement and ribbing about how wind-only sounds fun and he now wants to try it.
That's the neat part, you don't Fireball lvl 3 and Wind Cutter level 3 are just less likely to miss completely because they hit more than Rock Throw or a hit with your staff would

Same here, friggin video store did not have one and none of my games I had at home required a memory card. (Mario and Zelda did not require one)
I see Quest 64, I watch Quest 64.

I imagine those skelebats are very confused as to why this quail-haired kid keeps coming back demanding they kick his ass.
Just recently found your channel and have been enjoying your content a lot!
The madlad actually did a wind-only run.
Thanks dp, your Quest 64 stream uploads give me life

Rock is arguably the easiest element to solo with. Wind is second best. Wind lvl3 is OP when facing opposite to your enemy.
thank you for always uploading as im about to sleep so i have something to listen to as i drift off
next quest race you're gonna have to remind me to give you the hot dorothy enemy encounter tech, guaranteed to very mildly blow your mind
low% or even "barbarian" soon tm
Hell yeah!
Hell yeah!
Good luck from the future to DP of the past
Wind>>>>>>>>Fire

"Quest RPG - Brain's quest" that is on the Gameboy color.
6:03:09 It's that letterbox look, like you're in a movie theater.

I never heard of this game before this video looks like fun 🐱

I didn’t even know there was a game past the field
Idk how old this video is, but have you tried Hard Mode for this? . . . speaking of running faster.

I loved quest 64
I have a question what is the best element to use because I've never found all the elements I did beat the game though
Most cryptic NES game is Hoshi wo Miru Hito if you count Famicom
I loved this game. I'm surprised it got so much hate

Of course Ogre Battle 64 is #1!

Shut up.
Did it use the same engine as super Mario 64?
How the fuck do you hit without missing??? That guilty fight was bullshit
The air element attacks multiple times what do you expect?
Nice nickname i guess
