Discovered this "piece of paradise" more than 30 years ago by friendly waiters from there serving us in Marmaris - and fell in love with the open-hearted people giving "strangers" from Germany a warm welcome. I fell in love with Dalyan - it became my "second home" for decades. And although the village, once a "sleeping beauty", has grown to a little town it's still a very nice place with coasts and bays of breathtaking beauty. Worlds apart from the "concrete deserts" of Antalya, Side and Alanya where most European tourists use to spend their holidays. Fly to DALAMAN - half an hour by plane away from Antalya and discover one of the nicest "holiday villages" and beaches of Turkey!
Last year, in 2018, I went to Dalyan, Turkey for my first visit to the country, and fell in-love. Awesome place!
Thank you for mentioning Kaplan June and her wonderful work for the turtles and the environment.We always visit the turtle hospital so that we can leave as much as we can afford to help the invaluable work done there.
A boat trip on the lake is a must for the relaxation and nature all around.It,s best in an electric boats that runs silently through the reads where you can hear the chorus of frog songs,we imagined it was birds until we were corrected by our captain.
It is easy to get a private boat trip,just go down to the river and negotiate.
What a beautiful video, you have captured it so well & I've only been the once to Dalyan back in 2008 but had a great time there, thank you so much for bringing back the memories, much appreciated.

I cannot wait to visit here. Just got back from a holiday to Turkey where I was bitten by a huge sea turtle. It was an accident. I was snorkelling and we collided! I didn’t see it and the turtle must’ve been terrified. I am looking forward to going back and having a more positive experience with the beautiful turtles.

Used to go there in the 80s Caretta Caretta loved it went 4 times
Great video Mick really enjoy your relaxed presentation, we discovered Dalyan in 2019 and booked as soon as we came home to return in May 2020, this wasn't to be for obvious reasons but we're lucky enough to get there later that year and looking forward to goin g back thisvyear.

there are many local tour company doing similar tour. Just look for it when you reach there

Beer 14 TL now. Our inflation rate almost never been single digit number :/
