Isomag coils are down to under half a million now (from 6 to 7 million) in about two weeks. Crazy stuff. :) Positive side-effect is that the Dil-Ex backlog has reduced by a full million recently (from 2.3 to 1.3 million). Quite a few players are using the re-rolling technique, which makes us mortal ZEN-buyers happy. :) Also, congratumeowsniffilations on the Phaser re-roll there, so you gain 15.8 million EC there! :)
Spencer is too depressed right now by the tanking of the isomag market to join you in your sickly enthusiasm. That 15.8 million you mention -- that was his buying price a couple of weeks ago.

its a shame dil is far more valuable to me than EC

As someone who's been EC poor despite playing since shortly after launch, I managed to make over 100M EC last Friday, plus set aside 5 sets of isomags for characters (including two [Phaser] sets).
Rerolling was a lot more viable when Mk IIs were going for 4M+ for the less desirable energy types and 27M+ for Phaser. Now that Cannon, Tetryon, Polaron, and AP are basically rerolls? Not so much. [Beam]s are criminally cheap, though.
Since people realised its easier to buy the components, it seems like there's less people doing the queues, it taking ages this morning to fill a group, it was really quick the last few days
Yes, that's why I was critical of them making the advanced consoles this easy to obtain. Salvaged Tech was their first attempt to get us to engage with Elites back in the day, but once there was enough supply they lost all of their value as an incentive.
So for the "GenSendMessage Doff_Recipe_Start_Action clicked" is there a similar command for reputations? To just immediately go to the hourly or daily instead of clicking your way through the menus?
Sadly Cryptic removed a lot of the gensendmessage commands a year or so back to counter botting. Believe most of those were included :(

Small point of contention, your initial investment isn't 200K. Dilithium also has an equivalent EC cost, and whatever upgrades you're using on these also incur a cost. It's likely you'll spend several million worth of EC to get a desirable epic MKXV isomag. However, as long as you're able to sell it for more than the investment, this shouldn't be a major problem. Still, it should be noted, the investment is more than the cost of the crappy item in the exchange.
How useful are the beams and cannon mods?
They're fine. You lose ~5% Cat 1 per console vs the type specific consoles, but that's not that big of a deal. Good budget option aswell as they're often cheaper.
They enable rainbow beam or cannon builds to do quite well. I run a set myself on a rainbow cannon setup for space damage endeavors.
Hey i can craft mk 12 isomags. Should i mod them to an energy weapon and sell it? Good or bad idea?
craft at mk 2, it gives you 10 upgrade chances to upgrade in rarity. mk12 removes those chances and costs far more materials to craft.
Always craft at Mk II if it gives you the option.
Cryptic needs to figure out how to get players interested in TFOs again. I remember a time where there was no wait time.
Half the problem is the monotony. There's no variation and after doing it so many times in a row, they get boring and we get quickly burned out

The real shortage for me now is salvage I just can’t make enough to get my rolls and then I hit a kind of soft cap daily too so patrols etc stop dropping loot for me so I have to buy random cheap gear to salvage it’s very annoying

Consoles don't have isomags?
Anecdotally, it feels like rerolling once or twice, then reslotting the console into the re-engineer interface to reshuffle the list of mods will result in a desirable modifier in less rerolls than just continually hitting the reroll button.
wait.... the 'torp' options on the isomag do nothing??? THEN WHY IS IT AN OPTION?

You still get the buff from the modifier, but the actual Isomag Weapon Power boosts do nothing for Torps.
Torps don't care what your weapon power is at. Is why DPS torp boats are able to get away with weapon power set to minimum and Aux maxed out.

Why did you choose 39 modifiers instead of 41?
I was excluding duplicates, but if you want to factor them in, is why that option is there in the spreadsheet.
Ah, yes, i've noticed that. So that's just a visual bug and not a double chance to get CritX or DrainX?
Unless its [Phaser] its not really worth. Given that effort of getting a ship that can do an Elite TFO. Its a thing to do off on the side and when you get lucky you sell it.
It was clear right after the update that the market will go down fast so i really hustled a few days to get the last 800m with Phaser Isos to get the gorn hunter. And when i hit 1.5b i went to the exchange and the 3 ships on it were gone😐

I think that if you fail an elite tfo based on time that you should still get the mark box because you played the entire time. I understand not getting award for completion but playing all the way until the end of the timer should be worth something. On elite it can be a long time. When isomags were dropping on every play I made 430 mil in 2 days without really trying. i can farm elites.
Should isomags drop at higher rates? yes. You can buy all the tactical ones you want so why should engineering or science versions be limited access?
Isomags are cheap as heck. Now I have 3 full Isomag'd characters instead of just a handful of random ones. Good times.

Im more concerned they made isomags so easily gotten now, and they are supposed to be advanced ones, so why let us craft them so early and even before the crap ones.
They had a bit of end game here but killed it again, they now need to add ELITE consoles thet also require Advanced ones to upgrade into Elite ones, and requires max level in crafting.
reroling isomags gonna cost u around 100k Dil if u want XV gold ones + amount EC if u dont have tech upgrades. So not very cheap business better to buy it on exchange than to gamble, also I have tried crafting isomags and after 40 times in a row just rage quit the game not giving me even close to phaser!?!? Craptic - u cannot get lucky twice
I'm on reroll 43 pf an advanced science console, and man this is one hell of an annoying list, Really i should just trash it and buy a new set.
Yup. I stopped after like 30 also in crafting same thing no way to get what u want at least 40 times I remember first 10 rerols it gave me 5 times photon ??? Craptic

STO devs are too extreme. Coils should not be a Reward. They always go full crazy and ruin things. The elite reward should have been 2 materials (non-coil) and the original 50% chance box. Why don't they try 'ruining' the Zen inflation on the Dil exchange. 'Ruin' something that needs to ruined lol. All they have to do is release the 14th anniversary pack for 8 million dillithium. Make it exclusive to dillithium.
Profit is relative in that upgrades and re-engineering is limited to 8k dil per day. It is very easy to blow 8k Dil in re-engineering costs or Phoenix upgrades. Cryptic intentionally created a slot machine mechanic to force people to purchase Dil to keep up with FOMO. Part of me wants to rebel and say screw it, I am playing the game to fly around and shoot stuff, not go to Vegas and gamble at a slot machine. This behavior should not be rewarded IMHO. You have to spend a lot of money to do the Elite content, so that you can get the gear that makes you experience better. It is so much pay to win, I just hate it. And to top it off the Cryptic quality control is so bad many things don't work in which you have paid for. I tempted to reach out to the Federal Trade Commission. Minors play this game, and all of these money gambling mechanics and poor quality and lack of bug fixes and releasing broken content is breaking a contract with the consumer. They also allow people to profit from the game, and that is income that is not being reported to the IRS. More criminal enterprises that are encouraged by their game design. Grrrrr
