What I enjoy about Morissette is that she doesn’t overdo anything, she’s very tasteful when she sings. Her tone is amazing!
I am a fan of Morissette and we need to admit that she sometimes tend to overdo songs but then because of her unique voice quality and techniques, it's still pleasing to the ears.
@@kentagbu6828 in comparison to artists like Katrina or Gabriel Henrique I don’t think she overdoes it. In all the videos I saw, when she was younger there were some but nothing from Covid on did I think she overdid something.

@@kentagbu6828There are any number of ways a singer could "overdo" something, whether it's riffs and runs, growls, overreliance on a particular register, etc. I think one could argue that that's partly what gives each singer their signature sound and style. And what one person loves about a singer may not be to another's liking. So you could say that every singer "overdoes" something at one point or another. I personally am not a fan of excessive riffs and runs, particularly in music that doesn't typically call for that style, so my personal tastes fall in line with the original commenter's.

Her 2018 Asian Song Festival was flawless, effortless, and her 2nd song in the last few lines of the song, she broke from English to singing in Korean. They loved that bcuz it was held in Korea. You should see korean reactions to it, some women cried and some just listened in amazement. The song is a korean song that was translated into English You've got to see it.
Definitely go for “Defying Gravity”which she did during the pandemic in the comfort of her home and be mesmerize with her great and angelic voice.

13:59 To answer your question, I attended one of her concerts and she sang one of her signature songs "Pangarap Ko Ang Ibigin Ka". Her whistle note was the most anticipated part of the song. It didn't go as smoothly as usual but instead of getting disappointed, she made a very witty remark. She just paused for a bit and said, "Live", pointing out that she's not lip syncing, to the audience's amusement. Then she went on to sing amazingly, as usual. Just a heads up guys....Morissette did a series of B'way songs during Covid quarantine. The most popular was Defying Gravity but I would argue that it is her version of Someone Like You that is best. It is Morissette completely stripped down. Morissette can sing ANY genre and is a vocal assassin!

There are many words one can use to describe her voice. Buttery is right up there with the rest. This performance was the second video I ever watched of Morissette after Never Enough. My initial thought after watching Never Enough and reading all the comments was this can’t be LIVE. So I decided to watch this Rise Up to confirm my curiosity and after this epic performance …. I was sold! This voice is for REAL! I know there are amazing singers from the past and present. But since I listened to her first note I have stopped searching for other singers. I just love her TONE. So soothing and mesmerising.
I know the list of songs for you to react to is endless. But there was her digital concert celebrating her 10 years in the music industry she put out during lock down 3 years ago. The concert is on her personal TH-cam channel and is split into 5 parts. It’s an evolution and a journey of songs from her humble beginnings up to her original EP that she put out the same year. I highly recommend it.

Great reaction! Yes, Mori does “mess up” sometimes on her live streams when she’s playing the piano while scrolling thru the notes on her iPad/phone and singing. It comes across as genuine, cute and human. I feel she allows herself this to balance the practice and dedication she puts on when performing the tv shows and concerts where perfection is demanded.

What i find amazing in the way that Morisette sings is that she acts out with her voice the content of the lyrics. When she sings "dying..." she emotes the vision of dying. Or when phrase with having to rise up again she puts the sound of exhaustion into it. Thanks guys

Dimash is the most gifted vocalist that's ever lived, full stop. Morissette however, is the greatest singer I've ever heard. Both are extremely humble, very loving, and wonderful human beings. To have them both in the same lifetime is true blessing.

There's this one instance where she lost her voice during her concert in Dubai because of fatigue and hot/dry weather but she still did pretty amazing and she sounded much better that some of the singers in their best condition. Also take note she did that concert FULL ON 100% LIVE without even a backing track, that's how good she is.

So Love this powerful cover by Queen Morisssette . She is truly one of a kind in this generation ! evrything she did is perfect and done in an artistic way. I remember first hearing watching her performance during covid. I was bedridden due to a bad fall from on top of a ladder. Her song electrified my body that so much positive energy gave me the desire to heal my doy. I listen to it countless times a day till i was able to literally rise up from my bed in 15 days. You should try MORISSETTE AMON RISE UP ACAPELLA with 3rd Avenue it's fantastic, the arrangement is from Adonis Tabanda Mori's music Director and Bass guitarist, you see him at the begining then the other 6 voices joining in, then comes the beautiful Mori, the Video was editied by Adonis Tabanda, then there is the Version with Whistle tone live on stage, then all the Stages sessions Quaranthemes Broadway Musicals absolutely beautiful and better than all the originals, she is just the best, now about mistakes, there is a Video where Mori misses her Whistle but say's that's live then does the Whistle tone, she lost her voice not long before going on stage but told her fans that the show goes on, what a great person she is.
