As a dispatcher listening to that radio traffic breaks my heart. You ask him status once and he doesn’t answer. Maybe he didn’t hear me? You ask him again and he doesn’t answer. Is he in a bad radio spot? You ask a third time and he doesn’t answer. Your partner starts to call his phone. Please answer me. You ask a fourth time and he doesn’t answer. The other officers make the scene and what they say can bring relief or break you heart. I’ve had a night like that. My officer was ok. He was in a fight and couldn’t answer. When I cover your channel, you are mine for those hours I sit there. It’s my job to bring you home.
Man, that is nuts. I would have started getting paranoid during the 2nd time cause you know that baseball phrase: "1, 2, 3 strikes. You're out!" But I guess you have to exhaust all possibilities before assuming the worst, which is the only way you can do that job =\
Holy shit.... So My wife is a 13yr Veteran Police officer. And the way you just worded all of that puts things into a different perspective of what you guys and gals do. YOU are the "watchtower" As a husband I appreciate you and what you did. Those lines brought tears to my eyes thinking what would happen if my wife was the one not answering.. Thank You...
Sky Pup you are so disgusting, why the hell would you say that,I don’t even have the words for the kind of disrespect you are exhibiting,he probably had a family and they miss him every day.
"The final inspection." The police officer stood and faced God, Which must always come to pass. He hoped his shoes were shining, Just as brightly as his brass. "Step forward now, you officer, How shall I deal with you? Have you always turned the other cheek? To my Church have you been true?" The officer dropped his shoulders and said, "No, Lord, I guess I ain't. Because those of us who walk the beat Can't always be a saint. I've had to work most Sundays, And at times my talk was tough. And sometimes I've been violent, Because the world is awfully rough. But, I never took a penny, That wasn't mine to keep... Though I worked a lot of overtime, When the bills just got too steep. And I never passed a cry for help, Though at times I shook with fear. And sometimes, God, forgive me, I've wept unmanly tears. I know I don't deserve a place, Among the people here. this song is very sad. reminds me of my buddies dad constable wynn of the st.albert rcmp. On january 17 2015 he was shot and killed in side a casino doing a regular sweep and found a stolen truck, him and his partner were both shot, david wynn was killed and constable bonds was injured from being shot in the torso and arm. Im glad people like you are giving awareness for fallen officers. much love man
I've had many officers in my family, I'm blessed to have none of them hurt in the line of duty. But I know others are not as fortunate. Rest in peace officer.
A lot of memories come up when I heard this song. I remember the day clearly I witnessed this happened. His partner was pinned down spray n pray trying to live and get to the down officer. I made my choice in under a heart beat and don't regret it. Because of that it wasn't 2 officers down. I remember spending the weekend with the surviving officer being there for him and thinking he's just a boy a civilian he shouldn't have had to know this like I do the Marine combat veteran but I knew I was where I was suppose to be. That officer needed to know not every citizen is against LEO like that and many of us DO stand behind the thin blue line. We do have your 6, 3, 9, and noon. God bless all our first responders and their families as it isn't just the officer taking the risks but so is his family. The family is just as aware as he is this just may be that call his last tour.
Ethan Allen those are words you never want to hear “10-13 shots fired officer down, hold traffic, need back up” But it’s always relieving to hear that first radio transition from back up, “dispatch 35 in route to 69 code 3” and transmissions from neighboring departments calling in code 3 in route
It’s amazing how men like this risk their lives just to keep us safe. 321 bless your soul. When ever I see an officer, I offer them something. I would suggest the same.
I don't cry much but this song hit me hard because of my grandfather telling me stories about his fallen brothers. Rest in peace. You will all be remembered.
God bless our officers.I may just be 11,but that doesn't mean I have bad judgement .May god bless his family and all his close companions. There is no way to describe the feeling when you hear your friend is passed away. the closest I can get is a feeling of pure sadness and heartbreak.God bless our boys in blue and help bring down the law on those who disagree.
I remember this happening. I never knew him, but I can sympathize with you. My uncle and two of my cousins are police officers, and we are always listening to police radio to make sure they will be okay. My friend's father is also a police officer, and he patrols our school and watches some of the bus stops in town. Thank you to all our officers, who protect our towns and cities. I pray for all our officers down
Brings me to tears,my uncle was a PD SGT,sadly in 2013 died in a hospital due to cancer... After that day I started supporting the thin blue line, and all police officers and first responders... #thinblueline #ibackthethinblueline R.I.P To all fallen officers.
My dad's a cop. I can't imagine turning on the tv, the news turns on, "Officer down in Fargo, North Dakota." I call him and he doesn't answer, I call dispatch and they say it's my dad. if anything were to happen to him I would be mortified. Like if you appreciate and support law enforcement. I'm posting this in national police week so if you like reply with a blue stripe or cop car.

😔 wow… he HAD A FAMILY to go HOME TOO! 😔 I found this song again. Just never forget that number when I played this 3 years ago :( much love to this officer 💯🇺🇸😔
I'm from Louisiana in pike county, o wasn't there when it happened but I wish I was, I'm sorry for the family and he will be missed even by me because he was a local boy, he deserved to be honored, semper fi to the boys in blue
this song reminds me of my granddad and grandma my granddad was us marine survived 20 tours, my grandma was a captain and got shot on her retirement day
As someone who respects the blue, I have always smiled at an officer passing by me if I'm walking or driving down the road. Becoming a law enforcement officer would be one of the most pleasurable things to me because I want to help people in my community; whether it be in the city, county, or the state. My father used to be a Park Officer and it's just as dangerous as being one in the community. I don't care how dangerous the job can be, and how much stress I can take before I break down: it's as long as I've done my job helping people. When an law enforcement officer gives you a ticket, or worst case scenario; jail time, it's not because he wants to ruin your day (that's an obvious no), he/she wants you to learn a lesson and help you not make that same mistake again. That's what they're trying to get to you. Law Enforcement Officers are not super-human, they're just normal people, like everyone in this country, and even the world! They can feel pain, and most of all, have emotions; they're not robots! I can go on writing an essay about how Police officers are the same as humans, but I want YOU to figure it out yourself.
My uncle is a police officer and I appreciate all the officers who put their lives on the line everyday to keep America safe. And a special shoutout to all the good officers out there who support the constitution and only want to serve and protect, not there for the power. Like my uncle puts it, “Let the man wear the gun, not the gun wear the man!” Thank all y’all again and God speed
My hometown of Pea Ridge, AR lost and officer yesterday after a suspect hit him with a car and dragged him. He was an officer 23yrs Last year we lost an officer in Fayetteville,AR due to being assassinated while sitting in his patrol car. He had a baby girl that will never get to meet her daddy. This job is not for the faint of heart and it is really heart breaking for the community. My BF is a police officer and I pray every single day that I never have an officer show at my door with bad news. It takes a very special person to wear that badge and they are so loved.
i never got to meet this officer but im going to be honest tears are being shed in his name ive lost heroes from my local department i know how it feels to lose a hero thank you Officer Gary Michael
My dad is a state trooper and him and my mom got married may 16th. I didn’t think that a song would get him teary eyed. After 17 years officers don’t do that. So I just want to say thank you.
When I get out of high school I’m planning on being a officer, but it makes me nervous thinking that anything could happen. I just wish people would understand that without cops, we would probably all be dead. #bluelivesmatter
I might just be 12 years old in 2017 but think It's Stupid that people kill police officers for NO reason and recently in blount county we lost a police officer Kenny moats badge number 156 and I day I hope to be a police officer
Charlie Free and hillbillys and Tennessee I'm 13 and I'm a strong supporter of police. I'm not trying to promote my Instagram even though it seems as if I am but just look endlessgaming_yt
tbh I believe companies that make dashboard cameras or chest cameras for officers should make cameras that dispatch would be able check live to confirm that officer is in danger.
As a thirty year retired Officer I pray for this Officer, his family and fellow Officers. In the thirty years of service I saw a fellow Officer take his own life as his injuries caused him to become addicted to pain meds and he just could not take it, I was the second officer to arrive on the scene of my Lt being shot praise God he lived and I saw a fellow officer who had done two combat tours before becoming an Officer killed by a college student who didn't want to get a DUI. I know Police Officers lately have been labeled the bad guys but there are far more Police Officers out there that are are good guys. I pray for you all brothers stay safe.
RESPECT AND THANKS TO EVERY POLICE OFFICER WHO GIVE HIS FOR ME,FOR YOU, FOR EVERYONE,WHITE,BLACK EVDRYONE!!!RIP TO MY BLUE BROTHERS WHO DIE IN THE DUTY TIME!!!!
I plan on becoming a Police Officer when I'm older and no one can change my mind I'm not afraid to speak what's on my mind but if you are afraid to speak up let this comment be a light to you. I am 19 years old and a Freshman in College but I'm not going to back down from my dream of becoming a Police Officer.
As the adopted son of a career police officer, l have NOTHING but respect for those in law enforcement, given the dangers that they face in the line of duty!
Police don't deserve what some people give them they keep the peace and stop chaos it makes me sad to see police officers in the line of duty perish because people fight him or her
Heard this song on an Officers Live Facebook feed ( Officer Jason Gadrim) he’s an officer in Logan Ohio and when i first heard it , it brought tears to my eyes what these officers do for us and when people don’t appreciate them it breaks my heart all i can do is pray that this world 🌎 will stop being so curl! But wanted to tell you this song is absolutely amazing and very powerful continue what you guys are doing ❤️ I’ll be definitely listening to more!!
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of pain. There's not to many words that ppl can say but all I can say is... God's got your back like spine hun
Rest In Peace Officer Gary Michael. You’ll never be forgotten.

"The final inspection."
The police officer stood and faced God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, you officer,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To my Church have you been true?"
The officer dropped his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't.
Because those of us who walk the beat
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I've been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep...
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills just got too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you've a place for me here, Lord,

There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.

god bless the police officers they protect us
Very touching. I'm not an officer but sister was. I thank all police for doing what they did and lose there life doing there job for no reason.
My dad is a cop and this reminds me of what could happen to him anyday
Southern Missouri here .. just seeing this and it just breaks my heart.
0:31 best guitar transition.
My hometown of Pea Ridge, AR lost and officer yesterday after a suspect hit him with a car and dragged him. He was an officer 23yrs
Last year we lost an officer in Fayetteville,AR due to being assassinated while sitting in his patrol car. He had a baby girl that will never get to meet her daddy.
This job is not for the faint of heart and it is really heart breaking for the community. My BF is a police officer and I pray every single day that I never have an officer show at my door with bad news. It takes a very special person to wear that badge and they are so loved.
I love the Blue Lives Matter
God bless our officers
That is so right thank you for your message

My dad is a state trooper and him and my mom got married may 16th. I didn’t think that a song would get him teary eyed. After 17 years officers don’t do that. So I just want to say thank you.
When I get out of high school I’m planning on being a officer, but it makes me nervous thinking that anything could happen. I just wish people would understand that without cops, we would probably all be dead. #bluelivesmatter
Thank you

Go for it chase your dreams be the best you can be!!
Get onto a police explorer post and they'll train you until you can go to the police academy
I’m with ya!
this is a beautiful song, please keep writing this great music and supporting the blue line!
tbh I believe companies that make dashboard cameras or chest cameras for officers should make cameras that dispatch would be able check live to confirm that officer is in danger.
I'm sorry that you had to go through that
I would die for an officer in a heartbeat
Same bro
i would let an officer die in a heartbeat

To all good and honest police officers out there, thank you for protecting the innocent people.
Good for you Young man
Hello Jamey i am in exactly the same situation as you were right now
As the adopted son of a career police officer, l have NOTHING but respect for those in law enforcement, given the dangers that they face in the line of duty!
I lost my parents to a rober and i called the cops in tears

Police don't deserve what some people give them they keep the peace and stop chaos it makes me sad to see police officers in the line of duty perish because people fight him or her
