    I get that inflation does inevitably cause prices to rise, but the issue is that Star Stable was highly overpriced from the start and from the state of the game now it does not deserve how much money it actually costs. I’ll example Wolf Quest Anniversary Edition, that game could easily charge $50 but it’s only $20, and if you had previous versions of WQ then you’d get the new version for free. They have DLC’s but they are not needed to play the full game, and if you buy the new version then you get the full versions of the other games for free. And the WQ team actually listens to us and gives us actual responses. WQ is the perfect example of a game with developers that care and aren’t money hungry which is why players donate to support them for the initial purchase. SSO is just greedy and is the perfect example of a game that is way overpriced and is actually way to much for what in game content provides.

      i (Tate) use to play it a lot when i was way younger. I haven’t played it since and to my knowledge it wasn’t “well” known if that makes sense, i haven’t looked into recently, has the game as a community grown?

      @@Sso.beaches.101 the community has grown quite a lot, especially with the new version of the game. I wouldn’t say it’s well well known know right now but its much better than it was back then and the community is still growing.

      Agree 1000%!! I also play WQ and the devs are fantastic. On steam theres a suggestion board were you can see, if you go all the way to the first page , so many of the suggestions people left on there were added to the game. That's a game I'll gladly spend my money on. Sso, on the other hand, has received tons of suggestions constructive criticism from its players, but they either remove features people liked or add things nobody asked for.

      @@Darkmoon331 exactly I agree. WQ really does care about its fanbase and listen to their players, and most of the time we do get responses from them unlike SSO which usually give us cookie cutter responses or responses that sound so negligent. I too would also willingly spend money on their game more. I wish SSO would be more like them.

    I haven't played the game since they changed the characters, lol. If there wasn't already a boycott, I've been boycotting since about a year ago. The change with the characters was the straw that broke my camels back. And then there's been all sorts of build up of tension between the players and SSO's team for several years now. Anything past the wonderful year of 2016 for SSO has turned bad. And if you go even further back in the past of 2011 and 2012 when the game 1st released, it used to be more like an indie game, but it got eaten up by a big fish and it slowly shifted to what we have today.
    SSO used to treat its players with compassion and care, but shareholders and greed have taken over and the changes that they've been making have been less then savory for quite a few of us. They can't go back to being more of an indie company, when they cared about us. That time's long gone. And believe it or not, but a life time Star Rider membership costed about a total of only $50usd, but now it's more like $70 - $80 now. And that price is what you'd expect from a triple AAA title game to cost, like Red Dead Redemption as an example.
    For quite some time now SSO has become very shady with how it runs it's business. And with that in mind, the ONLY WAY you can get them to really do anything is by going to their socials and talking about everything they're doing wrong (don't try to be mean to the social media team, they're only doing what they're instructed to do). Just like current Disney, they're allergic to bad press. Star Stable can also be played using the Epic Game Launcher, btw. And that is THE ONLY place that I know of that seems to show a rating of the game. But not as many people like to use the Epic Launcher, so Idk if the scores are absolute since not as many people will get it on Epic I would suspect.
    But if SSO were to release on Steam however.... We'd probably be looking at a score similar to Horse Tales: Emerald Ranch with "Mixed" reviews or "negative" reviews. Steam would probably be more like SSO's grave. Just because everybody is able to make a review on any game they purchased. Or also add comments to reviews if some reviews allowed it. SSO's reputation wouldn't be safe on Steam, so that's probably why they've never tried to have a Steam release for years on end.
    Like what Rattle said in one of her SSO videos, SSO is probably only receiving around 1 or 2 percent of active players daily or monthly. They just can't hold people on their game long enough. Players are either getting tired of the team's shady practices, or the game is "too boring" (it can be boring, but only when you're a veteran player with almost nothing to do but train your pretty pixel horses), or "too time consuming" (like there's too much grind for people who either go to school or work a job), or "it's too hard" (the only time I think something could be hard is if there's too many steps to try and get something, like maybe one of the Halloween pets).
    SSO's "target audience" is supposed to be children and teens, right? But with all the predatory aspects about their game. Should you even let a kid play SSO unless they're ok with not getting every horse or piece of clothing they see, while trying to spend hundreds of dollars of their parents money? If a child gets a hold of their parents credit/debit card, how many of us think that SSO will "just give back the money", unless you fight for it? Not to even mention that some people will try to buy SC's and maybe something glitches and they don't actually get what they were supposed to get. Or, Idk how this was a thing, but some how going into debt in game with negative SC's. And the bug with life timers or monthly subs will sometimes not receive their SC allowances if they're un able to log in once a day on Saturday. I once didn't receive 200sc's for 2 weeks, logged in almost always for a while once a week or more. I went to the support team, and les just say, I never got my 200sc's. A SC bug they WANT to keep.

      They weren’t bad back in the day. They were understanding! and yes i do get they have to change things to fit the new generations but they don’t have to change themselves as a company if that makes sense. They were almost like “family” they were warm and welcoming but now i just feel like they have become money shredders

    The fact that sso didn’t give us a star coin code during Christmas time, yk the time of year that we GIVE to people? Sso is way too overpriced for the content that we get, we only get horses and some mini side quests. And also with the amount of celebrations they have removed such as: Valentine’s Day, st Patrick’s day, Easter, April fools, the midsummer festival. I wouldn’t be surprised if they decided to remove the pride event and Christmas. Also apparently the star coin file thing (like the sc code) wasn’t in the files or like the celebration until the day it was released. Honestly I have never seem such a calm and patient community, and again, honestly sso treats us like garbage.

    I feel like they wouldn’t remove the code redeem page, because it’s another way they get money. People often buy star coin and star rider gift cards for people. Considering the stuff they’ve done lately, I wouldn’t be surprised if they removed it. I enjoyed this video, it’s helped me better understand the recent drama going around, there’s just been so much happening. Thank you for the video, keep the great work up!

    Star stable would have so many less issues if they would just let us pick a starter horses I honestly think that we should be able to pick any breed we want as a starter First thing when you enter the game It would be so much fair And then if you wish to continue you can pay for the rest I feel bad for people that don't have A decent horse

    Just a heads up, but they're giving away a free white fox pet as part of a quest if anyone's still complaining about the yeti not being cute enough. Just do the quests that involve foxes and yetis if it doesn't appear the Winter Village.

    I agree on every point except the sc on Christmas. Fact of life is that no one owes us free money, Christmas or otherwise, and them giving us sc previous Christmases doesn’t mean they’re obligated to do so every Christmas coming forward. Past gift does not a contract make. I could maybe understand a bit of the anger if they didn’t give us anything at all, but that’s certainly not the case. They’ve given us a bunch of free stuff like clothes, tack, pets and so on. wether one likes the stuff or not (which we’ve gotten completely free of charge mind you) is neither here nor there. Sorry if this is blunt but the people angry and complaining about the Christmas sc just comes across as entitled to me. Like, do they complain that much irl when they receive a Christmas gift they don’t like or if don’t get money? Maybe some would but i would like to think that the vast majority would take the gift with grace and appreciation. So why act that way when it’s in a game?

      @Sso.beaches.101  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      I (Tate) agree and understand where you are coming from 100% I think them not speaking up about the star coins is what was upsetting for others. Was i upset? Yes. Reason being is because they’re money hungry and all they want is money. I understand you have to make profit for something to continue on, but they have removed every star coin code ever. I think them doing that was the last straw for everyone. I myself have spent over $300 on the game, by choice ofc. But that was in terms of me supporting them as a company/community. While yes we have gotten a lot of free things from them and are cute (some anyways) it’s the fact they claim to work so hard on the clothing/tack yet they’re just recolors! I completely understand where you are coming 100% I would’ve stayed that in the video but i was stating the common issue that everyone has! :)
