Coach, I passed my Contractors Master License test today in Ohio, first try. It was tough but a lot of your videos help me tremendously! Thanks for all your help and videos.
Love the videos coach. I'm studying to achieve my journeyman license and your courses and videos are a huge help!....One math flaw in this video I happened to catch was at 7:40... 22 x 240 = 5,280 not 5,250 :). Either way its the method we were shooting for right!
@ElectricalCodeCoach I failed by two questions retaking it on the 12th that was my first time taking it I just ran outta time only reason y I didn't pass let's get to it!
Do you always use the 90 degree column when making temperature corrections? For instance, if you had a 2/0 UF cable @ 145 amps in 111 degree F would you still use the 90 degree column of 195 amps and times it by .71 (correction factor for 60 degree column)? Or would you multiply 145 amps by .71?
@@ElectricalCodeCoach I haven't taken the program. However, I asked the original question because you seem to imply that you always use the 90 degree column. Taking my exam in a couple days so I don't have time to do a program. Just trying to bone up on a few last things.
at 12:08 on this video made me confused. i thought 3hp 230v ac 1p motor was a simple look at flc on 430.248 and multiply 1.25%. where did i miss something????
Thank you for the reply, so dryers get calculated differently than ranges? If so where can I find that in the code? Take my masters soon & don't want to make the mistake I did on here when the real thing comes.

For the after demand factor question I Think number 3 or 4. Why did you multiply 4500 by 3 to get the 13,500. Then add another 4500. I tryin to understand what’s going on...
4500 sq ft dwelling 4500sqft x 3 for lighting demand Then after lighting has been calculated We ADD 4500 to that as the fixed amount for two small appliance (3000) and one laundry load (1500)
The 4,500 is for the 2 small appliance and 1 laundry circuit. Keep Grinding!! Visit electricalexamcoach.com for the recipe for passing your test. Right now we have a LIFETIME membership sale for only 49.99 electricalcodecoach.com/shop/ols/products/lifetime-membership-sale

On question 1 why did you use Column A, when the range was 5200watts. Should you have used column B?
I think question one was a dryer question
