beautiful , both the music and the Ivory ! Thank you
bonita sinfonía y pintura.
Trompetes inusitados nessa sinfonia.
Very uplifting! Thank you for the upload.
small beautiful symphony. I think thant this is better than J. Haydn early symphonies
~15 earliest ones are not worth attention imho
@@fi8009 I dunno, the time of day ones are rather nice

You are right; in addition, a work such as Symphony 3 (c.1760), is a very fine early Classical symphony.
You cannot just write off the first fifteen symphonies as did F I in his reply, because the Hoboken numbering is not chronological; the first 17 pre-Eszterhazy works - ie pre-1761 - being (numerically) Symphonies 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 15, 18, 19, 20, 25, 27, 32, 33, 37, and ‘A’ (Hob. I:107).
The first post-Eszterhazy symphonies of 1761 - 1763 were Symphonies 6, 7, and 8 (the ‘Le Matin’, ‘Le Midi’, ‘Le Soir’ trilogy), 9, 12, 13, 14, 16, 17, 36, 40, 72, and ‘B’ (Hob. I:108) which are uniformly very fine works, and include a seven numbered too low in the first 15.
In short: the first 15 contain many real treasures, and apart from perhaps Symphony ‘A’ (Haydn’s weakest symphony in my view), they can all be recommended ‘without reservation’.
No, it certainly is not better than Joseph's first 15. J's early symphonies are very beautiful and creative, and the composition was already masterly. (listen to1, 3, 5, 11,13, etc.) But Michael's early symphonies are very beautiful too and I love them, although Joseph was already the greater master then (and maybe we shouldn't compare, Michael was a very fine and important composer).
