I just wanted to say I was so happy to come across this video I have been researching on how or if you could do this with the Cricut and this is the only thing I found that actually helped!! So thank y’all so much😁
Thank you for this, can't wait to try! Is it possible to just use regular sticker paper rather than vinyl? I'm new to this, is all vinyl considered sticker paper as well?
Hi. Get "rub and buff" color cream in gold or silver. After you wash the etching cream off, do not remove vinyl. Use color and put over your etch, then use a cloth and wipe off.
I did a split monogram etched wine glass. I had a customer ask for the letter be colored. Is there a way to do this. For example T monogram letter Tracey in the split section. Thanks for any advice in advance
Hello! So, there is a way to tint the etching. You can use things like rub n buff or other rub on colors like this: amzn.to/2Uq6R8E . Here is a live stream where we tested it! Feel free to skip to time 39:45 to see how I do it :) th-cam.com/video/cKtwn0gXCdQ/w-d-xo.html . Enjoy!
Is it the permanent one ok to use? Should I be using something less expensive for stencils? Is any color ok to use for the stencil? Sorry for all the questions. Thank you!
Hello! So, you can add color after the fact with products like this: amzn.to/3ayMC07 . But it won't be a permanent solution, there is not a good way to permanently color etched glass.
Do you find fonts such as Magnolia are harder to etch? I've done 4 wine tumblers and 3 of them have spots on the bottom word. I can't seem to push out all the wrinkles. I've tried cutting around to make it easier to push them out and no luck. Any suggestions? Thank you.
You can use whatever kind you'd like :) All vinyl is pretty much created equal. There is no such thing as vinyl that is truly permanent, unfortunately. But for etching, use any kind of scrap you have. Or you can use stencil vinyl.

Thank YOU for watching and commenting!
Great tutorial Becca! Could you do this technique onto mirrors too? Thanks SO much!
Is there a material to create a reusable stencil to etch let's say a set of 8 wine glasses? or I would need to make an stencil per glass?
Wow that was so cool . ! 💞
Thank you for watching!

Sure thing! Thank YOU, Barbara :)
I am def making these for my camoing friends! XOXO
Yes! How fun!

Super helpful video ! Can I make this for a glass candle as well?

Can you use the normal transfer tape for cricut?
Can etching be colored?
Do you have to use the transfer paper or can you use the plastic style transfer instead?
You can't use the plastic ones because they don't form and seal around the vinyl correctly.
Is there a way you can make the etching into a color etch
Hi. Get "rub and buff" color cream in gold or silver. After you wash the etching cream off, do not remove vinyl. Use color and put over your etch, then use a cloth and wipe off.
So cool if it easy to do a wine bottle. The same way maybe make a gift set?
Sure!

What type of transfer paper should I be using for this? I'm not having any luck with regular transfer paper. Thanks!
try Masking Paper Transfer Tape: amzn.to/3bB57jJ if regular transfer tape is too sticky, this should do the trick! :)
@@MakersGonnaLearn thanks!!!
Do you use 651 for the stencil? That’s all I have and I’m scared it will leave a residue on the glass when I’m done
Yes, we do! It never leaves a residue :) Also if it does, you can use goo-gone or another adhesive remover on it, it will not affect the etching :)
Is it the permanent one ok to use? Should I be using something less expensive for stencils? Is any color ok to use for the stencil? Sorry for all the questions. Thank you!
I just subscribed and joined!
Thank you so much for your love and support Jenny :)!
Are you using removable vinyl or permanent vinyl?
Removable, but any will work :)
Will it work on plastic tumblers?
No, this product is just for glass :)
Does the EtchAll work on the borosilicate casseroles? I know other brands do not. What is your experience?
What type of etching do you use .
Here you go: amzn.to/36Einnl :)
Can this be done on a square of granite?
It cannot. Etching is for glass :)
Can you do this somehow in color?

How large are your decals? Sometimes that can determine if it will wrinkle too much. Make sure they're 3" ot less
@@MakersGonnaLearn They are and I even cut the bottom word to put on separately.
Hi,
Is there a way to "fix" leaks that make have occurred while etching? The design looks uneven because you can see where the words leaked/blotchy
Unfortunately, no. The etching is very permanent and needs to be done carefully because bleeding/leaking is a real bummer!
Can someone tell me the best way to stop bleeding when etching glass? I have pushed out bubbles, mashed ends etc. I still end up with bleeding.
could you do this on a mirror ? thinking of trying something out for a wedding.
Absolutely!
You can also buy the actual stencil vinyl which is a tiny bit thicker than most vinyls. At least in my opinion.
Feel free to! Some people dont have that though, and we want to make sure they know they can use regular vinyl as well :)
i use my 631, bc i don't do much with it :)
Paint brush works better than the stick for applying cream.
Great tip!
Hi thank you...but you said vinyl....what type of vinyl please .. obviously not permanent vinyl......??
