    Fantastic Mr. Fox was the first book his mother gave to him. He still has that same copy. You can tell this masterpiece was personal for him.

      @@adonaiyah2196The film raised the bar so high that the book couldn't even see the top.

    Goes without saying... This is my favorite animation movie... nothing even comes close to your sheer brilliance and story telling, Wes.... I loved the background score and the stellar voice-cast and the general wes anderson-ish feel of it all.

      I would've loved it as a child but the trailer was shit (even in italy) and so as a stupid brat I ditched it for Up and other shitty cgi movies of the time.

    hey, it was a hit in my eyes as a kid!
    (also roald dahl’s works are quaint and often quite gruesome and this film did a *stellar* job of depicting and embracing that. and i think stop motion was a really crucial factor in being able to do so)

    he thinks faster than he talks which I relate to so much

  • @minecraftrotisseriechicken

    He's surprisingly inarticulate in speaking (at least in this interview) which I relate to a lot. Maybe it's the introversion that makes writing come more naturally for some of us. More time to choose the right words and have confidence in those choices. I mean he talks like a normal person, not a zippy quick-witted eccentric character in a movie.

    Saw the movie last night. GREAT movie, the stop-motion was great, but i prefer pixar movies

    • @BetamaxFlippy
      @BetamaxFlippy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +25

      Really? Pixar's cgi movies?
      Those things tired me up after watching a few. Computer animation is a great tool but with more than 20 years since Toy Story's debut as the first fully computer animated movie a lot of people are growing tired of it, I can't watch anymore of the stuff including a lot of special effects.

      You can't put those together. They simply are too different one from the other.

      I wonder what happened to you in those 10 years, did you get a partner? establish a career? or simply die of your unsupervised allergy to peanuts. What I wonder the most about tho if you have grown up to realize that this film outperforms any Pixar film in any aspect or way possible.
