I'm not sure I would say that slouchiness of the bag is an indication of a fake. I bought mine in 2020 from the Mulberry store at Bicester Village and it is slightly slouchy. Mine was made in England.

People are paying ridiculous amounts of money for quality and it’s not even quality. They’ve cheapened the brand bags are no longer made in England like stated the factories are sweat shops abroad

I mean, you could be mistaken, right? Leather can vary a lot, you know. It's not like all the bags I got straight from Mulberry are the same. Some are super soft, while others have a more structured feel to them.
I could not put myself through this, I had to order a preloved one from their website which I will pick up instore today. I dont have a trained eye and now the leather has changed its even more confusing!

She had the postman’s lock redone by Mulberry, which she claimed they would not repair unless the bag is authentic. Moreover, this bag did not have a serial number. I bought a different bag from the same lady, the Tessie hobo which is definitely authentic. She has a collection of Mulberry and is downsizing. She showed me her other bags and I was able to authenticate all of them. Now I am having second thoughts that I missed out on a deal, based on Sky High review below. Is it possible that the bag you referred to as fake was in fact authentic?
Hi Maja, it is possible as Mulberry does sell bags in their outlets/discounts that aren’t in perfect shape and they have been making more bags in Turkey. I based this video on the research I found at the time but I am not an expert and always suggest relying on third party authenticators. I have worked with Mulberry on repairs in the past and I agree that they would not repair something that is not genuine so please reach out and see if it’s still available! This video shows items that are more likely to be fake and there are a lot of fakes out there but it does sound like the one you found was likely authentic. I’m sorry if this confused you!
The bag you state to be fake is genuine, there is no question. All your comparisons about the hardware, thickness of the leather, fonts are largely inaccurate. The leather will be a different thickness because each bag is cut from a different hide and various parts of that hide are used. I hope you didn't falsely accuse the seller of selling you a counterfeit because it is you that is incorrect and not the seller!
Do then you should be able to tell us more about the descrepencies. Most bag companies like mulberry source their leather from quality vendors. Everyone knows there shouldn’t be that much variance. I buy Tieks leather shoes. I have about 12 pair...none of my shoes have that much variance in the leather. I think you’re way off.

Plus you're getting 100% premium leather that simply gets better with time. I only have two reg size bays, 1 small bays and 3 slgs. I am in search of one that was taken from me a few years ago which is the mulberry bayswater PNVT and my collection will be complete...for now. 😇

I have a collection of Mulberry- most are genuine, but I have one fake which is much nicer than the genuine version. It was made in an overseas factory used by Mulberry, but the leather has aged beautifully. Many Chinese real leather fakes are well made. Mulberry alienated me when they watered down the quality of their bags, trying to be like Michael Kors.
Thanks for your opinion! I only have the oxblood one anymore but it is an older style (as is the brown) and that style often has the screws facing that way. They have/had both been authenticated by multiple experts.
I Think the others might be Fake as well. I bought mine in the Mulberry store a few years ago, and the zipper goes from left to right not the other way around :-)

However, this one is older-vintage, even- and many from that time period look like mine. I did have this authenticated so I know it is authentic, just an older style. I think you're talking about the dark brown? I dd buy this from a site that has in-house authenticators and also sends each bag to mypoupette which is a very reputable authenticator, so I am sure it is just an older version but is authentic.
I agree. The two small versions are both fake. The screws are wrong on both, the zip pull is wrong on both and the Mulberry stamping on the hardware on brown is uneven (lighter in places). Sorry!

The first two years they did not include a disc. Your fake is an outlet bag, made specifically for an outlet like Nordstrom etc.
Maybe the “ MW “ stands for Mulberry Wholesale or something? .

There are a few legitimate outlets throughout the world (mostly in the uk) but the ones not listed on Mulberry’s website are best to be avoided!

That seems a bit big but I'm not an expert so I can't say for sure.
I'd suggest sending some pictures to an authenticator for a minimal cost ($10-$20) I like authenticate4u, authenticatefirst, and real authentication

ALL 3 are fake to me because The screws should be towards the middle and not one to the left, the other to the right.
