The urinary tract is the body's drainage system for eliminating wastes and excess fluid from urine. All bodily parts in the urinary tract must operate together and in the proper order for appropriate urination to occur.
Two kidneys, two ureters, a bladder, and a urethra make up the urinary tract.
Kidneys. Each organ is about the size of a fist. One on each side of your spine is placed immediately below your rib cage. Your kidneys filter roughly 120 to 150 quarts of blood every day to eliminate toxins and maintain fluid balance. This method generates 1 to 2 quarts of pee every day.
Ureters. Muscle tubes that connect your kidneys to your bladder and transport pee.
When you need to urinate, your brain tells your sphincters to relax. The muscular bladder wall tightens as a result, forcing urine through the urethra and out of your bladder.
The frequency with which you must urinate is determined by how rapidly your kidneys make urine and how much urine your bladder can safely store. While the bladder fills with urine, the bladder wall muscles relax, while the sphincter muscles contract to keep urine in the bladder. Signals transmitted to your brain when your bladder fills up tell you to find a toilet as quickly as possible.

Excuse me but the arrow for secretion shows the solutes moving from the tubules to the peritubular capillary. Should it not be the other way round?
