  • In today's video, I show one way you can start making money today.
    I started a dog-walking business this weekend.
    I knocked doors. I talked with Strangers. I closed a deal.
    I did the work.
    I shoveled a Driveway.
    If you want to make money you have to do the work. you can't sit on the sideline expecting it to happen.
    you don't need fliers, business cards or anything else.
    All you need is an idea and people.
    The rest takes care of it self.

    I Knocked doors as a kid to buy a Wii. I went back to my roots. Would you knock doors to make money?

      @@TruckDogTrailer I considered washing windows. I wanted to do something with zero start up cost.
      And this is how I got good with people. I started small. And would have a few conversations here and there.
      Trash Can Cleaning I am not familiar with

    The biggest lesson out of this for me....Don't take rejection personally and don't let it hold you back... Keep it up :)

      Exactly! They Are not rejecting you personally. It takes a few no's to get one yes. The one Yes is what changes everything.

    Now do the same but ask people if you can shovel snow. You can see the driveways that need shovelled so no guessing work. Its like a big sign outside saying shovel my snow

    • @calebquimby
      @calebquimby  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      True! that is how I did get the one. I didn't have a shovel. and wasn't looking to buy one.
      Also what would you do if the house has a "No salutation" would you still knock and ask to shovel?

      @@calebquimby Increase your price to 15 and invest in a large shovel. They will give you 20 most of the time it's easier. Fuck no salutations I'm knocking all day long just to piss them off 😂

      @@calebquimby Bro I love door knocking. You should read the story of Reo Stakis from Greece. He came over to the UK at age 14 years old with a suitcase full of his mother's lace wear. His father sent him because the family was going bankrupt in Greece. He sold the lace door to door in affluent areas of London and ended up the owner of stakis Hotel enterprises. Door knocking has made many a millionaire. You just need the right offering in the right areas. It truly is an art.

    You look cold af out there. If you approach a house and you hear no barking, you just as well go to the next one. LOL Only thing, if I did have a dog, I'm not sure I would trust just anyone to take them out. Have done snow removal and mowing this way and it can be good.

    • @calebquimby
      @calebquimby  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It did warm up as the day progressed. This is why I thought the dog idea would be good. People don't want to go outside. Then again is is CO and Natives are used to it.
      I did think about this with the barking. some dogs don't bark. Like the house with the 10 year old. that dog did not bark. And some won't bark till the door bell is rung. I also think it is a good way to handles rejections and not be looking for the right house.
      One lady was concerned with that and it is why I suggested I could leave something behind. I was able to do this as a kid and I think I got one dog.
      I wanted to do lawns or snow removal. Not enough snow. and too early to mow lawns.

    So an adult trying to do the job of a child. To make money which means you have to overcharged for the value of that service so you have to find people that are lazy enough and have enough exposable income that they're going to give you 50$ a day to walk the dog a few blocks

    in most neighborhoods people would think you're stealing dogs or marking houses for burglaries

    • @calebquimby
      @calebquimby  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Where does this thought or idea come from?
      Because I don't see this or think this.

    • @Stink777
      @Stink777 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@calebquimby The perception that someone might be stealing dogs or marking houses for burglaries when seen canvasing neighborhoods is deeply rooted in the realities of systemic poverty that many communities face. This suspicion arises from the historical and ongoing economic disparities that are exacerbated by the influence of major institutions like blackrock, vanguard, the petroleum industry, for profit prisons, military defense, hollywood/music and the Federal Reserve keeping large portions of America in a perpetual ghetto. These entities play significant roles in shaping economic policies and practices that contribute to the maintenance of socio-economic divides. The result is a heightened sense of vigilance and mistrust within communities that have been marginalized or neglected, leading to a fear of outsiders or unfamiliar activities. This is not just a random fear but a reflection of the broader social and economic issues that impact these neighborhoods, perpetuating cycles of poverty and limiting access to opportunities for upward mobility. Ultimately we all fall short of perfection and without the Grace of God we are but filthy rags. Amen. Hallelujah. Jesus is King!

    One tip I have for you from the book 100m offer from Alex Hormozi is to provide your service ones or twice for free to establish trust with your first customers. After this they will probably enjoy you doing this and they will tell their friends / relatives about you which could add potential costumers.
