I got attached to the car. It is very symbolic throughout the video. From the parents buying it at the car dealership to when the wife got pregnant it transported her to the hospital to when their daughter turned 16 and got the keys to the same car. I guess the symbolic meaning is to not give up on people because of their flaws in contrast to the car being given up to the impound and got crushed. We should cherish people and care for each other even inanimate things too given to us as a gift..

Point A to Point B. The reason you feel like this video is a car sales video, is
because the car has been sold to you-
you’re on this journey with these characters. The video depicts two generations experiencing significant
life events, both joyful and terrifying. It shows exciting beginnings and
heartbreaking endings. The car was witness to it all. The car is a metaphor for the connections & history that
are built into the foundation of a precious symbol or item or relationship (or
in this case, a car). In the music video narrative, I feel the artist is
mourning that loss in frustration, but a frustration we all feel and can
identify with.
The lyrics, sung beautifully by Abir, explain those emotional
and overwhelming moments of our ugliest moments in life. We can all identify
with the vulnerable, raw passion in her voice as she sings, ‘this ain’t my finest
hour, might see my flaws today.’The bit at the end with each character pleading ‘don’t give
up on me’ is so powerful because it communicates that each of these people very
well could have been experiencing the toughest day in a while, running on
empty, and near their breaking point, and certainly not in their finest hour. Still,
