I will happily admit I was against the initial teaming ban. Honestly I think they just need to make player kills more rewarding (I,E 30-50 AP per kill), I'd take people always trying to PVP than the current carebear teaming meta
They did, but that's worse IMO. I think "teaming" needs to be defined, because ignoring someone or just chilling is fun IMO and part of the game, but 2v1ing is obviously super unfair and unfun and is the issue that needs to be addressed IMO.
My personal opinion is that if you organically meet through circumstance (f.e. being 2-3 naked pickpocket rogues meeting on top of ruins), it's ok for me personally to not kill one another and instead focus on teaming up stealing from random passerbys because it still doesn't make it unfair to play against. Of course I try to not kill anyone as pickpocket rogue in the first place. But yeah, as soon as you stack gear and players on top of another it becomes really unfair to play against, especially if the amount exceeds the "intended" max of a 3 player limit.
The most fun I had in this game usually happens when I stalk and steal solo from geared 3-man teams in HR ruins that are sweating their asses off, can recommend that in case you ever burn out and didn't really try it before.@@Ltsama

The issue with backflip is. 1. Lag/desync means movement based matrix style dodging isn't uniform between your screen and theirs. 2. Hit leg stomach hit box damage reduction isn't large enough to justify especially if the enemy was aiming chest anyway. 3. It locks you in an animation thats slower than walking. 4. It doesn't allow you to keep flipping. 5. You have no perks that buff it. 6. Double jump is superior.
Somewhere a memory is being unlocked, and I get the feeling it's either Lumbridge or Varrock castle music (._. ) Love the video, no one uses the skill so finding content is impossible sometimes lol

I don't think there needs to be a teaming ban, but there needs to be per player specific AP reward on kill to make it worth killing high tier players. They could make it based on HR rank, rarity of gear worn, a percent of the value of looted items in their inventory, or some other player specific point value. Whatever way they pick, it needs to not encourage spawn rushing, but it needs to make it worth it to kill geared/looted up/high rank players.
I straight up tell people I'm not friendly but there's an old saying "A man is only as good as his word" - I've never once lied or betrayed someone in rust or hunt or tarkov or any other game like this. I can respect betraying teamers but I can't bring myself to do it. It sadly matters more to me than dark and darker does.
I guess instead of testing each others skills, some people would rather just play loot crate opening simulator because their dopamine centers are already completely fried.

I wounder if it is possible to flick sideways and back flip perpendicular to a crossbow user to dodge a crossbow bolt. Is the back flip animation long enough to do this and dodge the ranger's multi-shot? I don't this trick is useful in the current meta because barbs use throwing-axe which has very little re-fire time, but it could be good when the meta changes.

I can see some value in backflip for solo. But here is the deal. The idea of backflip is so u can get a hit in while avoiding being hit. Buuut, thats most valuable if u can proc bleed, weakpoint or cutthroat, but no rogue goes without invis. So why not use a handcrossbow and u get to still use those 3 abilities. I dont wanna use xbow but its fills the same role at less risk and less cost since u lose a perk rather than an ability slot..

I see people complaining about PvP, I see people complaining about teaming. They all seem the same to me, crying because the way they want to play the game is harder. I understand that this is a big change to the normal successful strategies and adds a new layer to interactions, but you can't expect "kill on sight" to work in every scenario and in my mind, you can still have PvP in the teaming lobbies, it just takes more patience. You can go down to crypts before killing. If people are farming AP then most of them will be heading down a layer anyway. This benefits you more than killing on sight because you will get better loot from the players you do kill, you will be spending time in the ruins getting your own loot and your own AP and you don't have to worry about as many opponents at once, as they will be split further apart than in Ruins. Spawn rushing is an annoying strategy but works in this context. Now I agree, the entitlement from the warlock was ridiculous. People should be able to play the game how they want, but that goes both ways and you are doing the same thing as him with the attitude that teaming is bullshit. You're right, a 5v1 is not a fair fight, but why do you then refuse to change how you play based on that situation? What has worked for you in the past, doesn't work so well right now but you can adapt. That's what it means to be a good player, not repeatedly banging your head against a wall shouting "But I can kill them all in a 1v1!" -Irrelevant, that's not the situation. But that aside, it's always good to see people trying new strategies and off-meta ideas and was nice to see someone trying out Tumbling for once, even if it was to show why no one else does. I think that the main issue is that the game is really shallow when it comes to PvE. Even the bosses are incredibly easy after you learn the patterns. The PvP is the only thing that makes delving into the dungeon risky, and subsequently makes games different from one another.
I was all in on the original anti teaming from IM i was already noticing a trend and it didnt feel like when VOIP was first added, there was a brief period where it was just wonderful interactions but now its 30 year olds crying and calling you a pussy while they run to the nearest spawn begging for another person to save them from pvp. I would laugh when it happens if it wasnt just sad.

I'm still trying to learn the basics and havent yet started looking for/ initiating pvp, mostly becaus it doesn't help your, game progression and the game doesn't give you any insentive to kill others, other then mistrust or greed. I get that pvp can and is fun with proper gear/builds running, but there realy isn't a lot of joy, skill or insentive (other then sadism) involved in killing broke players rocking base kit on HR. Shur they could turn on you but that zero trust policy doesn't create a healthy communety for newcommers. As I said pvp obviously is the endgame and thats great, but forcing yourselfe on broke base kits and generylly newcommers trying to learn the game doesn't benefit anyone other then maybe sadists or people that need to go that far in order to feel competent. The devs could learn a thing or two from Hunt Showdown in my opinion to help stuck player not to feel kicked, while allready beign down. That could keep frustrated newcommers from dropping the game out of frustration, withot lowering the stakes for more involved players.

Turns out. In a game where the only reward in pvp is stealing loot, but you can only have so much loot, and people end up with banks full of gold..... at the top of the ladder nobody cares about killing people... Yeah. Legit whats the point?
Tumble is very useful for pve and fighting multiple people, combined with double jump, and you are very hard to hit in ruins. Use it as a disengage, then use hide and backstab. You are not playing to your strengths. It can be combined with ambush and backstab for +80% damage. I've been getting kills with tumble somewhat reliably.
imo teaming is ok in some regards. its ok when you are just having fun just goofin around but when you then fight others together that should be punishable. if they wanna drop you loot ok but dont let em fight with you. that ruins the purpose of solos. I think its just not good to make it into any of the extrems like right now we are in the extrem of teaming. but if everyone fights cuz they dont have a choice or get banned i wouldve not made some friends i still play with. as i said just talkin and cooperating in PvE is ok but in PvP solos should be solos.
You should do a video on how dogshit Ambush is as a passive. 50% increase for a single hit that expires after 3 seconds is so bad. Even juiced streamers don't get any value from that perk 80% of the time lol
@@LtsamaI find it's only useful with a rapier, a stilleto doing 50 gets 15 damage which is tied to your stealth CD. Even in this video the one time you have ambush it just runs out before you hit it which happens most the time even with juiced kits

My main point is its till like 10 damage max on a single hit when you're landing 3-4+ Not to mention the buff gets nerfed on arm or chest shots. Personally I take back attack since you usually can get one or two back hits from stealth if you play for it. It really helps in moments against barbs when they turn their back to you and let you stab them 3-4 times and it helps on pve. Maybe I'm just salty over it not being weapon damage anymore but I haven't taken it since pt3or4 which ever one nerfed it hard

As I said pvp obviously is the endgame and thats great, but forcing yourselfe on broke base kits and generylly newcommers trying to learn the game doesn't benefit anyone other then maybe sadists or people that need to go that far in order to feel competent.
The devs could learn a thing or two from Hunt Showdown in my opinion to help stuck player not to feel kicked, while allready beign down. That could keep frustrated newcommers from dropping the game out of frustration, withot lowering the stakes for more involved players.

I dont see the issue, if people wanna teama nd run around it doesnt bother me, i find 1-2 people who are just rushign around trying 2 kill everyone anyways so if I want to find PvP i can go find a PvP based guy, i dont need to bully timmys just to get a dopamine hit. If for 1-2 lobbies i can't find a juicer, o well free AP and move onto the next lobby

Turns out. In a game where the only reward in pvp is stealing loot, but you can only have so much loot, and people end up with banks full of gold..... at the top of the ladder nobody cares about killing people...

This game is a hard pass until teaming is punished enough. A leaderboard for whos the best at yapping is actually sad
Tumble is very useful for pve and fighting multiple people, combined with double jump, and you are very hard to hit in ruins.
Use it as a disengage, then use hide and backstab. You are not playing to your strengths. It can be combined with ambush and backstab for +80% damage.
I've been getting kills with tumble somewhat reliably.
imo teaming is ok in some regards. its ok when you are just having fun just goofin around but when you then fight others together that should be punishable. if they wanna drop you loot ok but dont let em fight with you. that ruins the purpose of solos. I think its just not good to make it into any of the extrems like right now we are in the extrem of teaming. but if everyone fights cuz they dont have a choice or get banned i wouldve not made some friends i still play with. as i said just talkin and cooperating in PvE is ok but in PvP solos should be solos.
You should do a video on how dogshit Ambush is as a passive. 50% increase for a single hit that expires after 3 seconds is so bad. Even juiced streamers don't get any value from that perk 80% of the time lol
I love ambush, 50% is an extra 20-40 damage in a single hit when you're geared. Way more damage out of a perk than even rupture, a skill.
@@LtsamaI find it's only useful with a rapier, a stilleto doing 50 gets 15 damage which is tied to your stealth CD. Even in this video the one time you have ambush it just runs out before you hit it which happens most the time even with juiced kits

@@Ltsama @Ltsama I honestly thought you swapped off after 3:35 for other perks iwth tumble but I see it now. My main point is its till like 10 damage max on a single hit when you're landing 3-4+ Not to mention the buff gets nerfed on arm or chest shots. Personally I take back attack since you usually can get one or two back hits from stealth if you play for it. It really helps in moments against barbs when they turn their back to you and let you stab them 3-4 times and it helps on pve.
Maybe I'm just salty over it not being weapon damage anymore but I haven't taken it since pt3or4 which ever one nerfed it hard

Should prolly educate yourself on the teaming issue iron mace was addressing. It wasn't people being friendly. Which agreed can be a major issue. Not arguing that fact. But it was addressing full lobbies being people who know each other in discord and protecting people through multiple levels and insuring their escape bc they're queing at the same time in lower pop servers. And making actual money by doing this. Again arguably being friendly can produce the same result but what you're talking about isn't what iron mace was desperate to stop. Def like seeing people trying to promote pvp. I think more pvp would be a great mindset for a lot of people.but unfortunately sheep will be sheep
Kind of an L take on teaming but glad to see someone trying something new with rogue that doesnt make people wanna jump off a bridge.
