Ive just bought this from Wickes yesterday to replace an old flymo that i loved. Im dreading putting it together so appreciate your video. I like the fact your garden is like mine and the ground isnt all level and there are lumps and bumps to go over. Also loved the little rabbit appearing in the background.
Invaluable video, thanks Des, didn't need to read the booklet, I made mistakes putting grass box together that you didn't even think of, but I swore more !! Arthritic hands didn't enjoy the process, but at least my wife can now cut the grass !!

Looks to do a decent enough job. At least being plastic there isn't going to be an issue with rust. Make sure you are using a circuit breaker plug with it for safety. The planters are looking very good still!
You'll be fine. If you have the common sense to watch the video beforehand to see what you need to do (and what not to do) then that's half the battle already won. Enjoy it - it really is a great bit of kit and mine's still going strong. Thanks for watching, Des

I know right!! I actually made the mistake too as I was assembling along the video and now made scratch marks on the basket.. thanks for sharing the video but posting those mistakes could mislead people.
Hi Des I really wish I watched your video before I assembled it I can share your angst and rattiness with the grass box I’ve made the same error in not attaching the feeder tray it was a nightmare trying to prise apart. Incidentally I bought mine today £115 at B&Q 11/07/21 never thought about Wickes for £80. Cheers thanks for uploading Phil 🏴
It's not disingenuous to take it out. Likely audience for this video are people trying to figure out how to assemble their own. The mistakes might be important to someone trying to assess the clarity of the instruction manual or your competence in assembly but personally I'm just looking for a video to make assembly clearer. There was also a mistake in the description of the mistake in that the chute just slides on once the two parts of the basket are assembled. The video gives the impression it is necessary to take these apart first. Thanks though, I did find this very useful.
This is a terrible video! My husband used this video to assemble it, and it went all wrong! He made the same mistakes u made because he literally followed the video...why make a video doing it wrong?
Hi there. Sorry to hear that. I presumed that most people would watch the vid first to get a good overview as to what was required and then attempt the installation. The reason I don't edit out my mistakes should be obvious. This does not represent real life and is not a genuine representation of peoples' 'normal' everyday experiences. The fact that I am a very experienced DIY'er doesn't mean that I don't make mistakes and it's important that people see that so they don't become discouraged when attempting stuff themselves. The lip that catches the grass into the box can be slid into place. 😅

Just assembled the 360vc and there were two 1.5" pieces of white sleeving in the box. Anyone got a clue what they are for. Not in the manual.

When I bought mine those white things were over the metal rods that the handle gets attached to. I assume these are just packaging to be discarded

I did the same. Opened the box, stuck on this vid, put the thing together. Same mistakes in the same place. 😂😂😂
