Very Nice Work Stud! I do everything you mention. If I might add, I put lemon juice in a spray bottle, spray the window and then use brillo or scotch pad to clean. Works well.
I have had the Daniel Boone for three years. Love it. Every time I go into Ace Hardware, and see the Traeger Smoker, I am happy with my decision to go with a GMG product. But I would not buy another one. Taking this smoker apart is a dirty job. And one that you must do every few cooks, not bags of pellets. The burn pot fills up in no time with ash and needs vacuumed out. The solution? The CAMP CHEF smoker. The burn pot is on the under side of the body of the smoker. Need to empty the burn pot ? No problem. Simply twist the pot and it comes away fo easy emptying. No mess. No vacuum. No brained.
I just got rid of my 2023 model camp chef. Most disappointed I’ve ever been in a smoker. Before that one I had a camp chef for eight years. The new camp Chef puts out zero smoke. Even with the smoke level on 10. Smoke a pork shoulder for 10 to 12 hours for pulled pork and it has no smoke flavor. Basically like an outdoor oven. Yes, the ash clean out is great, but the thing just would not smoke. Took forever to heat up as well. Just like the old one. Just bought a green Mountain ledge and I wish I would’ve bought years ago. Much superior product to the camp Chef. But I wish everyone would go to an ash clean out like the camp Chef. Other than that, though I probably will never buy a camp chef again.
Nice to know the glass can be cleaned with a Brillo pad. The light's plastic has absorbed so much smoke after 1 season it's basically unusable now. That probably needs to be made/replaced with the same glass material so it can be aggressively cleaned. Wonderful products. Probably the only good thing out of 2020 for us 😉🙄

I am about to buy one and was concerned about keeping that window clean. thanks! very helpful comment.
If you live in Florida you need to clean out the grill almost every cook because the burnt ash attracts moisture and will rust the inside
very nice, informative. I am looking to buy one and doing my research. this helped.

Same here brother ... Traeger is overpriced and cheaply built for the money they command, I'll take my DB Choice over a RecTec too

Didn’t know Edward Norton sold grills.
I was wondering why he looked familiar.
What’s the best way to get pellets out of auger?
I just saw the recently-released video on repairing the auger. I see that’s how I can clear it of pellets. Thanks.
